Thanks, Tilting.  I have always thought that 'expectations are everything'.  If you expect a lot, the results follow.  If you expect nothing, results are poor.  I think people are understanding that if you can just go 2-0 or 3-1 on here every week and make your small contribution, then you can rely on others to do the same.  We've had a crazy-good run the last 10 days or so, so I am a little worried what happens when there is a cold spell, but we'll see!

My entire plan here is to get everyone to contribute their little bit and then we can all take those pieces and build whatever we want with them.  If you post just one winner a week, and then 25 other people do the same, then that means there is PLENTY for everyone to take away to make money with.  Thanks for the post, DD......

Ball St -3. And Air Force +4.5.
Air Force 3-0 at home last 3. Beat out right UNLV Boise st New Mexico and lost last road game by 1 to Fresno

Holmey it is always going to be the same,once you start highlighting one particular capper for his play it leads to jealousy from the others,egos set in and everyone wants to be TOP DOG.Think just posting the record next to the name is best way,or when you used to post top consensus plays which would be the plays with the most cappers on it,but that takes a bit of time to sort through,never going to satisfy everyone.Overall I think it is a good thread with lots of good cappers and reasoning for picks,hope most keep doing what they have been but with success comes jealousy,just have to expect it.

Alrighty here goes dynamite.....i am 0-1 after a horrendous call on Duke vs Pitt

$$$$Gtown Over 144.5

Gtown has been an over machine this year as i think the bookies all have recollections of the defensive minded teams of the past

Bottom line is this is one of the most undisciplined and foul prone Hoya teams i have ever seen.  The average score in their games this year is 144.8

The last time they played Marquette the final was 80-70in DC.

This Hoya team lacks an identity and tends to just depend on chucking 3s and fouling when they meet adversity.  This is an over bettors delight.

Marquette on the other hand is a maturing young team with a legitimate stud freshman who needs to take care of business at home to have any chance to make a late season run.   My call is 84-73 Marquette.

Playing the first half over of 67.5 and doing small parlays of Marq and Over.

Here's to me getting back to even on the $$$

On Virginia -4' (close to $$$$ play) Marquette -3' (Bubba )
N Florida -14', Lafayette +10', Iowa/IU under 153

Leaning Nebraska +3' (Purdue sucks on the road, and well, Matt Painter is coach, but my Purdue alum guy thinks they may cover)

Air Force +4' $$$$$ Play

It goes with plays like my Nevada play Sunday. A good home team playing a bad road team avenging a loss earlier. Plus this time getting points!  Air Force is 12-4 at home, Utah State 4-8 on the road with a road ATS of 4-8 . I know some of you don't use ATS, but in season conference ATS is something I like to use. Air Force is 6-1 ATS in revenging a loss this season. Their KP ratings aren;t far apart and KP has it a one point game (though I don't use that) Air Force is though at the bottom of the league in offense. They do have a better conference defense. Utah State has been horrible on the road in MWC play. I will take Air Force getting points at home where they win.

The WAC is one of those conferences that never have their games open for betting for whatever reason, guessing because it's one of the worst conferences in basketball - usually their schools only appear on games that you can wager when they play someone out of conference or when the WAC tourney gets going.

 Devils prob the play here but remember NJ just made a flurry of moves all their own trading away leading scorer Lee Stempniak, defenseman Erc Gelinas and F Stefan Matteau. Granted Gelinas and Matteau weren't regulars the loss of Stempniak will no doubt sting a bit for a team that wasn't an offensive juggernaut to begin with (dead last in NHL in scoring)

My first crack at a $$$$ play tonight comes from Albuquerque where the reeling Lobos host the conference champion Aztecs in some Mountain West action.

Conventional wisdom would tell you to ride the Aztecs here as they are far and away the best team in the conference .. But the Lobos desperately need a win here as they have dropped 3 straight and currently sit outside the Top 4 in the conference meaning they would not get a bye in the conference tournament.

I just think the Lobos have a lot more to play for tonight than the Aztecs do, and given the home court flavor and it being senior night .. I'm taking the Lobos +1

New Mexico +1 is my $$$$ play of the day.

Virginia/Clemson Under 124

I was going to hold off from posting a money play today. I'm continuing to see the line drop everywhere so if you want this play then you have to get on it quick. I think it some places it's as low as 122.5.

When these 2 get together...points are a rarity. As it's about ball control and limiting the possessions. Oh yeah...and defense. I want to say 6 to 7 of the last 10 meetings have barely reached the 125 mark.

But possessions per game...these 2 teams are among the lowest in the NCAA when you talk about the fewest possessions per game. With Virginia ACTUALLY being THE lowest. Each team averages about 61-62 per game. Which means you have to be pretty efficient in your scoring otherwise you've got one helluva low scoring game.

After crunching more numbers, with those very little total possessions per game in mind...I've got the score right around 56-53 for both teams. Which puts it WELL under the 124 mark. And when I mean crunching...I meant actually putting in the values for 3's made, 2's made and FT's made for this game.

Mid-50 scores for both teams with nobody cracking the 60 point mark? Please put me down for this $$$$ play.

Coming from a real OG here Holmey. Been investing in the sports arena for over twenty years , and this is one of the better threads that I've seen. I've even tailed a couple times , and won . The Bottom line here, is we are all trying to beat the Books . I enjoy covers because, there are actually some good cappers on here. Everybody keep doing thier thing and produce winners, it's good moral . I'll help out immensely when football season hits, but in the mean time, I'll post my money play, when I'm extremely confident it will hit. Don't like to play with people's money . If I post, it'll probably hit. Thanks Homey, will keep us going here man.

Glad to see that some others have found some gold in the mountain west. My $$$$ play is air force + 4 over Utah state. Not only has the flyboys won their last three games at home, as pointed out by gunnslinger 12, they are 6-1 ats for their last seven . For those who look at sagerin,  recent predictors has this game as a pick em.

Also playing the aztecs of San Diego state over the lobos of new Mexico . Two teams going in opposite directions .
