 Not a chance.  St. Louis is only 34th in RPI and 73rd in the all-important SOS stat. They have no wins over ranked teams and have two horrible losses.  They have no chance unless they win the tournament.  You would know this if you have followed Selection Sunday for the last few years.

34 isnt too shabby. If they get to 25 wins it would be hard to keep them out of the tourney. Beating X twice would help a great deal. Probably have to make it to atleast the A 10 finals tho....

i feel like this year is a tough one to pick just because unc has had up and downs along with dukes shocking losses cuse i really dont feel like they can contend completely with either florida has been back and forth kansas is staying under the radar and upset wise unlv is gonna be there again also i see vcu making another surprise leap to elite 8 all hype with baylor dont feel the same with them as last year.  its gonna be a good year for upsets so look hard at the matchups that come out as you may be seeing some shocking finalists.  one in particular is kentucky that i can see dropping before the sweet 16 but that imo

I know it's the chalk pick, but this years Kentucky squad has it all. Size at every position, except point guard, perimeter shooting, and they actually get down and play defense. It will be so hard for teams to score on them in the half court, which NCAA tournament games always turn into. Ohio State is another team the normally defends extremely well. I just don't see them having the point guard play capable of winning it all.

If Anthony Davis stays out of foul trouble Kentucky will not lose another game this season.

i know a lot of people are on kentucky and im not gonna tell anyone not to be but when i watch them i see a team that doesnt show up for the full game most of the time they dont show up in the first half and going into the tournament that is one of the worst things to do they are full of young talent and thats what costs them every year when in trouble they dont play as a team if a underdog team gets hot hitting 3s for example vcu or unlv they may not be able to crawl back ive been apart of brackets since i was 10 and every year i see the same thing especially from kentucky

you are exactly right miniman, a couple years back not sure exactly when Kansas were the favorite to win it all when they were down to sweet 16, they couldn't get it done. It was when they the twins i believe their last name was Morris. Anyways the field is so wide open and we never who will make it. good luck to us all. may we see an excitement March Madness soon

Oh i apologize miniman you were talking about Kentucky and i was thinking of Kansas. anyways the point is that heavy favorite teams rarely make it nowadays. Also do you all remeber the Cuse about 2 or 3 years back when they had that awesome squad with Jardine and had a strong deep back up squad. anyways you all get my point,,,

Kentucky's defense just keeps getting better & better. This team is so big & athletic they are going to be one tough out.

My pick is obviously kentucky, unlike their counterparts i don't see many weaknesses in this team because they defend (unlike unc), and rebound (unlike cuse). My dark horse would be missouri because they have good guard play. Ill be fading duke and unc hardcore however.

Unlv is also a decent team to take a shot on, they have all the elements that could give them a deep run though their defense is  not  always stellar. On a neutral court i like em tho, and they have the length to contend with anyone with moser.
