It seems like 90% of sports bettors on here don't even understand how to bet on sports. I hate to say it, but most of you are throwing money out the window, instead of profiting. I'm sure most of you will past this post, but it's worth a try.
1. You shouldn't be betting 10 games per day.
2. If you lose a close game, don't go on tilt. That's what these sportsbooks want you to do. Collect your thoughts and move on. There's lots of sports games to bet on each day (for the most part).
3. It's cool to have write-ups on a game. But when most of you that do write-ups on a game basically copy and paste stuff off another forum or sports news site just to make you look good with "sports knowledge", that's pretty pathetic in my opinion. Add some value to your write up.
4. Stay away from parlays. Yeah they're good if you hit them, but how many people consistently win off parlays? Sportsbooks love people doing parlays because most of the time the books collect.
5. You can't win every game, that's reality. So, stop posting "huge winner" every time you post.
6. You need to have discipline and money management. This is very important. Bet according to what you can afford.
7. IF YOU HAVE READ THIS FAR, THEN CONGRATS. THIS IS THE HUGE PART YOU NEED TO ANSWER FOR YOURSELF:
1. ARE THESE SPORTS GAMES FIXED?
2. WOULD YOU LEAVE A BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY UP TO CHANCE?
ONCE YOU FIGURE OUT ^ THESE 2 QUESTIONS, YOU'LL BE MAKING MORE MONEY ON SPORTS BETTING.

Totally agree but being discipline is very challenging. Professional do not leave anything to happen by chance. Some games line are set so precise meaning no stone left unturn from line setting perspectives..We Don't Know Anything! Just play and enjoy the game win or lose.

how do u feel about live betting ? on one hand it can cause u to go into a even deeper hole, but other times it can be utilized to take advantage of a momentum change that will eventually go back towards the other way. I am on the fence with live betting as it has saved my azz many times when my original pre-game spread gets toasted within the first 10 min, and i can then even out on the inflated live line or double down if need be. like u said though, it is increasing chance to go on tilt or lose more.

If your original pre-game pick gets toasted, ya you're on a tilt through live betting. However, live betting is profitable if you pick the correct spots (Assuming you haven't made any bet on that specific game before gametime).

Just stop gambling on sports.Nobody can predict the future actions of human beings. The majority of the time you're just trying to win 90% of your bet. It's just an entertaining way of losing your money. That's why losers post for free on the internet,it cost nothing.

Most people make the mistake of thinking it's a "get rich quick" type of deal, betting on sports. It's the exact opposite though...it's a grind. Its a system and a beatable one, and it all starts with that one word...Discipline. You have to take the losing days with a grain of salt, move along, grind it out. Thanks for the read.

Everybody has their own way of doing things but i think the most important thing for any sports better is discipline. It is great when everything is going well and your winning and sometimes we go on streaks where we think we cant lose but all it takes is one loss and sometimes we react to that and start chasing by just pounding the next game. Ive been there and its really hard to break the habit.

The live in play garbage all seems really rigged to me. Two examples last two nights...Hampton NC Central, game was in the 110's like 8 mins left. Have a live in play over 158.5. Sure enough game is 79-78 final seconds, Hampton gets a layup with two seconds to win. Last night, have live bets SDSU-Fresno at 120 and 126.5, 120 was favored to go over. Sure enough, kid hits that 3 to force OT at 57-57. It's like they know play for play whats gonna happen. So sketchy imo.

And the NFL last couple seasons in particular come playoff time has been very sketchy to me. All the games this weekend went opposite of who the public bet. A lot of people thought Seattle would "upset" Carolina, the Cardinals and Broncos were locks to most people, and Chiefs were popular pick to upset Pats although line moved towards New England towards the end. All whatever made Vegas most money. Nevermind the missed 27 yarder which shittty FCS kickers can make in their sleep, the horrendous SB playcall when you have one of the best running backs in the league. Seems fishy.

one thing i due to minimize my losses is middle my play..some times my plays wash and i lose juice which isnt a big deal but many times i win both plays.... a perfect example was sunday i had carolina -2.5 once the blowout happened and they were up 21-0 i took seahawks +18.5 in line bet...at the end i won em both...but i had no risk and got a free play!

The best advice one can get is that if you have no idea what you are doing, don't bet. Making a pick based on publicly available past statistics is same as having no idea--this method will get you to lose even with proper money management. Key to handicapping is the ability to factor is other factors like line value and numerous other variables other than past statistics and trends.
Handicapping takes a lot of time and work. If you think you can beat the book just by looking up few stats 1 hour a day or reading forum posts you are in it for some tough times. Just stick to a well known pro like bettingresource. These guys are a diamond in the rough when it comes to handicapping games because they are the only capping service that wins every year. These days i spend 5 minutes or less (check my email to what they send me and place the bets) and I make a solid side income. I am in the process of buying a third investment condo from the winnings since i joined bettingresource in 2009.

I'm not sure if you're being serious or you're promoting betting resource. However, I'LL ADD THIS IN.
8. NEVER PAY FOR SPORTS PICKS.....ANYONE THAT SELLS PICKS DOESN'T WIN AT SPORTS BETTING....THAT'S WHY THEY NEED TO SELL
