Kramer's November 2013 NCAAB Thread

6-1 on posted plays for the year....the one loss was Colorado opening nite which was worth about 3 regular bets....I really liked that one

I'm starting this thread to track my plays this month and maybe start a new thread each month or so

Tonite (11/11/13) - 1 play so far

Richmond -6: Gimme the A-10 school at home early on vs. an OVC school that lost a lot from last year....Belmont has built themselves into a nice mid-major power and will be a force in their conference this year but lacks the overall talent they've had in the past....Belmont was outrebounded by Lipscomb in their opening game 42-27 and Richmond has 2 or 3 pretty decent returning frontcourt players

I was only gonna bet $10 on it....can I still send you the $330 for the info????? LOL....

Arizona St. -14

Wisconsin -6: Wisky at home should cover here as Florida is missing a lot of pieces from last year and even a couple of their returning stars are out here early in the season

I see a lot of folks on VCU tonite....that's a pretty decent UVa team playing at home where they beat UNC, Duke, & NC State last year and their squad this year might be a little better! Be careful....

I might be back with one or two more plays later....GL everyone!

Arizona St. -14

Wisconsin -6: Wisky at home should cover here as Florida is missing a lot of pieces from last year and even a couple of their returning stars are out here early in the season

Adding Utah St. -22: The Aggies should put a thumping on one of the worst teams in D-I BBall....So. Utah graduated about 50 points per game from last year's squad and their leading returning scorer averaged a little under 7 per game....meanwhile Utah St. has a good returning team, lots of depth, and may even make a little noise in their first season in the Mountain West

Oregon St. -6: Again early season games for me are sometimes just as simple as this: a lower level power conference team playing at home vs. bottom level teams from small or mid-major conferences....this will burn me sometimes but it's a good place to start....looking beyond that OSU is probably undervalued due to their upset loss to Coppin St. and Portland slightly overvalued because of their opening game win over UC Davis....OSU will again be without the services of 6'10 Eric Moreland who was suspended for the first 14 games of the season but scorer Roberto Nelson (36 points in the opener) leads a core of decent talent

Thursday 11/14/13

Northwestern +10: Stanford is at home, has the talent, and may be one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the Pac 12 by season's end but they are not clicking right now....Northwestern has some great veteran outside shooters (Crawford, Cobb, Soblewski) and just enough inside to keep things close here tonite....nationwide media is down on this team but locally here in Chicagoland there is certainly a buzz surrounding this team....this might be a little (very little since I'm not actually from Chicago) of a homer play so go carefully....I may be back with another one a little later....GL tonite guys!

Georgia Tech -1.5: OK couldn't stay away from this game....Ga Tech is quietly accumulating a lot of talent and should contend for post-season play (NCAA, NIT, etc) even in the newly remodeled & super-competitive ACC while Georgia looks to be sliding talent-wise....I'll take the talent here as Georgia looks out-classed on paper at every position and has no go-to scorer while the Wreck has a nice core of returning players (Georges-Hunt, Carter, Miller) and added Tennessee transfer Trae Golden who has had a couple of good games (granted against much weaker opponents)....even on the road gimme the talent early on vs. a team in rebuilding mode

Adding Arizona St. -22 (bought the hook): everytime I think I'm gonna stay away from games and be disciplined lines seem to pop out at me....once again we have a "Kramer Special" as you'll notice a LOT of my early season games are BCS schools at home against mid-level or bottom-level teams from mid-major or small conferences....Idaho St. was one of the bottom 15 teams in the RPI last year & lost their leading scorer from that squad....ASU is led by the inside-outside duo of G Jahii Carson & C Jordan Bachinski and the along with the solid core around them should put this one away tonite
