Monday 11/18/13

Colorado -14: can't stay away from this Colorado team this year....they've been a little up & down this year already but I believe they are just starting to gel....even with their slow start I'll take them by a couple touchdowns at home against a middle of the road Sun Belt team....Colorado has the talent on paper & the depth to win this one by 20+

Texas Tech -7: trying to catch this one before it goes up even more....I think Tubby is building something in Lubbock and I feel his low-end Big 12 roster covers at home here over a mid-level SWAC team who lost there leading scorer from last year....Tech has done what they needed to do in 2 games vs. lesser opponents already this year and played even ball with Bama in the second half of last week's game....I see at least a double-digit victory here

Tuesday 11/19/13:

St. Johns -7 (bought the hook): Bucknell might be trading on their name a little here as they have built themselves up to be quite a mid-major challenger over the last few years....but losing possibly the best player in the program's history (Mike Muscala) & returning only one scorer that averaged more than 3 ppg will make for a considerable down year this season....St. Johns probably has the most talented team on paper top to bottom in the Big East this year and should be in the top tier of that conference all year....I see a double digit win here

St. Johns -7....loss brings me to 14-3-2 YTD....moving on....

I know right? Even down the stretch it had that kinda feel where St. Johns would just cover by free throws & Bucknell missed shots in the final minute or so....so much talent on St. Johns....they will have games this year where they will put it all together and surprise people mark my words

Wednesday 11/20/13

Northwestern -3.5: How does a struggling Big 10 team that's trying to find an identity with a new up & coming coach and some decent talent get back on track early on? I feel the answer to that question should be their game tonite vs. Illinois-Chicago....UIC lost their top 3 scorers from last year's squad and will struggle to even reach the top half of the Horizon League this year....Northwestern has great perimeter shooters matched with some nice inside players and will have way too much depth & talent for the Flames tonite

Also tailing a bunch of folks on here with Wichita St. -5 (bought the hook) but with so many people on them it has the feel of a Covers bloodbath....might have another play later on....GL everyone!

Yeah this team is struggling right now but the talent is there especially in the backcourt with Crawford, Cobbs, & Soblewski....Olah has to get better offensively in the middle....we'll see....

Maryland -18.5: I think Vegas is selling the Terps a little short here today....I know, I know - neutral court, weird venue (Virgin Islans?), preseason tournament craziness, etc....Marist is likely a bottom half of the MAAC type team and while Maryland hasn't looked stellar so far Wells & Smotrycz will get it going today and the Terps should coast by 25-30

Arizona St. -16.5: Hate to keep going to this well but I believe Vegas just keeps on underestimating this team....Bradley will be improved this year but not here tonite at one of the hottest unranked teams in the country that has smoked through small & mid-major opponents and even won at UNLV earlier this week....this play may burn me as I have been high on the Sun Devils here in the first few weeks of the season but this appears to be a game they win by 20-25
