Hope to see your play before I head off to work Ludawg. If not I guess I'll have to call a friend from work and have him get it. Only thing I can do from work is call the play in,not post it. You've been money all year and expect the same today. BOL

Sorry for the delay, guys. I had to be away from the computer last night taking care of one of my little girls. It's now 7AM EST and I'm hoping this leaves everyone enough time for the play. Tip off is actually at 1pm EST.
Alright, this one is about the match-ups. And for ECU...it's not good again. The Pirates will have to try to contain Aubrey Coleman who torched ECU at Minges in Greenville for 25 points and 11 rebounds the last time these two teams met. Let's also not forget that Tom Pender's team held ECU to 31% from the floor with their man-to-man defense.
Houston presents an even bigger matchup problem this time around than they did the first. The Cougs are more well rounded getting Kelvin Lewis into the game a lot more. He's a great shooter and they're getting more production from other players on the court as well. McNeil and Washington in the paint are going to cause big time problems for Darrius Morrow...especially given the fact that It was announced this morning that ECU will be without big man Chad Wynn again. . The last time these two met, McNeil had 11 with 15 boards.
I just believe there are far too many match-up problems from the very top with the guards all the way down under the basket with the forwards and center spots for the Pirates. Houston hasn't lost 3 games ATS all season long and I don't expect they'll do it this afternoon.
It looks like we're getting a gift because of Houston's performance the last 3 games. Yet a closer look will show that 2 of those 3 were rivalry games against Rice and SMU. The Tulane loss is a head scratcher at first glance, but realize Houston was without McNeil who was at his grandmother's funeral and is now ready to make an impact. If you're a betting man (which you obviously are if you're reading this thread), you see these last few games as a gift from the gambling God's. The line is deflated because of it.
Houston -12 was available at my book. It appears you can get it at -12.5 at the others.
Houston -12 is the play. Too many match up problems and distractions for the Pirates to expect to be in this game against a team who believes they have a shot to go deep in this tournament.
Let's get the money.

Houston forces a C-USA best 9.9 steals a game and have a +8.1 turnover margin which is also tops in the conference. On the other hand, ECU is by far the league’s worst in the TO department with a turnover margin of -8.43.
On the season the Pirates have committed a whopping 504 turnovers, the next closest team is UCF with 430.
Anyone who's watched ECU this year knows they average a turnover every 2 possessions. That's not a good stat when you're going against the #1 team in C-USA in steals.
This could get ugly.
