Not to mention, I think Tim Floyd is a horrible strategy type coach. I like him as a person and that he stands up for his teams, but he just can't "strategize" and out coach another.

OJ Mayo is overrated, and doesn't deserve to be a top 10 pick as he is projected, but he is still a pretty damn good 18 year old.

first he isnt 18. he's 20. and what does age have to do with it? Magic Johnson won two championships by the time he was 20 years old.
 
second he cost his team the game. everyone has bad shooting nights but it was his carelessness with the ball resulting in 10 turnovers which cost them the game. you can tell how frustrated his teammates were with him on his travel while down only 6 late.

anyone who criticizes Floyd knows nothing about basketball. he only turned around one of the worst teams in the nation and took them to their first sweet 16 since 1979, all this without Mayo. his coaching kept them in this game but not even Roy Williams could overcome 10 turnovers from his star player.

This thread is spoken like a true gambler...If you think Mayo is garbage because he didn't get you the $$ tonight then every player in the history of sports is garbage....Tom Brady=Garbage, Joe Montana=Garbage, Lebron NBA finals=Garbage, etc.

Floyd was great against memphis when he used the triangle & 2 against CDR & Derrick Rose...he stifled that team and if USC had held on to a big lead and actually hit FTs (like they didn't do tonight), then no teams would be undefeated at this point in the season

Tom Brady did not lose the superbowl for the pats
Lebron did not lose the NBA finals for the cavs..

OJ Mayo did, almost singlehandedly, lose the game for the trojans..
Im not an emotional bettor... im just calling it like i see it.
Something just wasnt right with that kid..

When I watch OJ Mayo play, I can't help but think he is only looking for the flash and "Sports Center" move that will dazzle everybody instead of doing what it takes or what is necessary to take care of the ball and help his team.  He doesn't think protect the ball first, he is very careless with it.  He has talent, but it seems to me that Tim Floyd hasn't figured out how to handle him and keep him playing effectively within the scope of the USC offense.  I think he is hyped way more than he should be and he did play terrible tonight, no question about it.  Had more turnovers than a bakery...

No, seriously though........he'll fit right in when he gets to the Association. He travels everytime he touches the ball.
He had somewhere in the vicinity of 10 recorded turnovers last night. The refs were being generous.

How many times did Brady miss Moss wide open for long passes....Brady played like shit and did in a way lose the Super Bowl for them....He did not put enough points on the board with the best offensive team in the NFL

OJ never really impressed me, but last night showed that he is not ready for the big show yet. That was embarrasing to watch.
