Of course they are. They are all "smarty pants" who know everything there is to know about basketball. That's why Nebraska beat Texas in the BIG 12 Championship Game (then there was an extra OT of 1 sec), and all the "experts" threw away their tickets--but not their egos, since they feel Texas "didn't play their game."
This is ok--we want a lot of noise by the "experts" who feel "it is impossible for Butler to win, because DUKE is sooooo good."

This forum will be all over DUKE NO DOUBT ABOUT IT, since covers is also "square."
Ask great coaches that played Butler this year what kind of team and defense this is: Jim Boeheim, Ben Howland, and now Tom Izzo.

This is largely about perception: It's about Horizon League (noone EVER sees them on tv) vs the ACC (which gets way too much free ESPN publicity from pundits like DICK Vitale)
Butler beat Ohio State, and that was your clue they were better than the best of the BIG 10. Sometimes you don't get much more evidence than that for a wager.

This has to be DUKE's best shot in years, c'mon: A mid-major with no All Americans, no experience in the Tourney.
It is their's to not lose.
Howard of Butler needs to have better presence for Butler to stay close and have a shot at the end. DUKE had too many rebounds on WVU--well, mountaineers played shitty defense, but their star did go down injured, so the blowout win needs an asterisk*

I think he's questionable for the game with a "head injury" ..

Ohio State was playing their first game without the Player of the Year, Evan Turner... on the road
They beat MSU without their best player Lucas, starting SG Allen with torn ligament in foot (scoreless), starting PF Roe torn miniscus
I think they can beat Duke though. Butler can defend their asses off.

You're going to be shocked when most on this forum will be on Butler. You guys think you know where the public is by getting your info from free consensus sites that doesn't even track real wagers. Not many people will lay 8 points to win their wager in a championship game ON THE ROAD!

So betting the favorite, whom the public is all over, is a "square" move, even it so happens it's the right side to be on? Try fading the public as your one and only capping strategy and see how your bankroll feels about it. Talk about square.

I have no idea as to where you are getting your info that duke is being bet at an 85% clip, however, the site that I use which is a compilation of different sportsbooks (no, not SI) shows that with 17,307 wagers placed that 60% are on Duke. Still a sizable amount of people on Duke, however, not even close to 85%
