he was 8-21 against Gtown and 11-22. Now both shooting numbers are okay, but if you think that hes going to be getting those type of shots in NBA games then your smoking something. No way will he be the focal point in an offense to where he will get that many shots a game. He also had a real solid point guard last year in Richards who was getting him the ball where he needed to get it. We'll see what happens tonight

That's a very uneducated comment. The best guard in the whole league is only 6'1....I'm sure you've heard of Chris Paul.
If you haven't heard of him, how about Allen Iverson, Baron Davis, Steve Nash, or the # 1 pick in the draft, Derrick Rose?? Not one of those guys is over 6'3. Do you need more examples of small guards that excel in the NBA.... cause I could on and on and on.
Curry will be one of the first players taken in the draft and he'll have an amazing NBA career. No doubt in my mind and no doubt in the mind of every NBA scout
 

Every single guy you just named has a MANS body. Have you seen this kid? There are seriously 6th graders that are more built then him. And hes not the type that can put on weight and muscle because his body is just not made that way. And with Chris Paul being the best "guard". You must have forgotten Kobe Bryant. Last time I checked he was still a guard

Ya, they're really missing Richards @ the point though. Truthfully, I hate Curry playing the 1 spot...sure maybe occasionally but not starting. Hopefully, they can develop and Brendan McKillop or Bryant Barr (I don't really think he's a true PG - all he can do is shoot)can raise his game and eventually become the starting PG.

Would love to see this line-up - come March Madness

PG - Brendan McKillop
SG - Stephen Curry
SF- Max Paulhus Gosselin
PF - Andrew Lovedale
C- Stephen Rossiter

6th men - Byrant Barr & Will Archambault

Great Defensively/They will not get outwork...man is this a small team though, going to need some magic again this year to make a run!

Steve Nash did not have a "mans body" coming into the NBA...However, he was a true point guard and the most skilled player to ever come out of Canada.

okay, Kobe Bryant is arguably a better player than Paul. But, c'mon - there are many, many people out there that believe Chris Paul (when his career is all said and done) will go down as the greatest point guard of all time. But, that's not point the of this thread.
As far as having a man's body. Allen Iverson weighs 165. Chris Paul weighs a measley 175.
Monta Ellis weighs 175. Tony Parker weighs 180. I could go on and on... they're are many successful NBA guards with lean frames.
That's not a good argument as to why Curry won't succeed in the NBA

you're right, but you can't seriously compare Stephen Curry to the likes of those guys. Hes a shooting guard in the body of a point guard. Those are facts. I don't see him getting off the shots he does in college in the league. Thats just my point. And hes going to be a liability on the defensive end no matter who he guards. Just not going to work and if I was building a team, I would not want to start with him.

Your right...he won't get those time of shots or as many shots...he will get less shots, but they will be easier. He also won't be the focal point of the offense, and he doesn't need to be - he can still be a successful player without have the offense run through him. All he has to do is find the open space and spot up - have u seen how fast his release is and how high his arc is, he will be able to get his shot of in the NBA!!! (unlike reddick - who people try and compare him 2)

Also, again your right that he won't be playing with Richards, he will be playing with better players in the NBA, who will elevate his game, not hinder it!

How can you say he'll be getting harder shots then the ones seen here against G-town???

okay, that's a better argument. so, what you're really saying is Curry won't be successful in the NBA because he can't play the point... not because he's small/lean. Personally, I think the guy has so much talent that he can learn to play point guard. But, let's not forget, he's not 5'10.... he's 6'3 ....and at that height, he can play two guard in the NBA. I guess only time will tell.

I'm not buying into Davidson being good all year......HAVE YOU SEEN THE CONFERENCE THEY PLAY IN?????????????? citadel.....elon.....if those teams are in your conference you get no respect from me, and people talking about curry going to the NBA are crazy hes small and hes not half as good as redick who can't do anything in the league...............by the way who is stupid enough to even mention curry and redick in the same sentence? the only reason curry might have a shot is because nba d is bad hes used to the bad defense they play in the "great southern conference" what a joke that there even ranked hey lets just throw in western kentucky david lipscomb and missouri they have good scorers too

Let me throw this guy under the never allowed to post again until he does his research

Curry led his team to the Elite 8 and nearly the Final 4, losing to the eventual champs by 2 points with a shot to win the game. He is not half as good as Redick? In which facet of the game is this true?? Redick could shoot the lights out. Eventually by his senior year he start to be able to put the ball on the floor. He was a liability on defense as well. Yeah Davidson plays in a horrible conference, thats why they play in all of these big time preseason tourneys. They lost to Oklahoma earlier this year in Oklahoma by like 2 points. Have you ever watched basketball? Did you watch Davidson beat Georgetown from the all mighty Big East, followed by Wisconsin from the all might Big 10. Yeah, had they not already earned their respect then youd have an argument. That is just absurd on your behalf sir
