Spot play on Pitt today on Senior Day, and with revenge. First meeting this year, USF shot 60%. Actually only got up 38 shots, and made 23 of them. Key is, they still turned the ball over 17 times. Was an easy win for USF, but this should be a bit harder. USF hasn't crossed the 50 mark in Big East road games not involving Nova, Providence, or Depaul. Why those 3? Well, those are 3 of the worst defenses in the BE. If I cross out those teams, and include the non-conference slate, here's what USF has scored on the road all year: 45, 47, 49, 51, 40, 42, 46. Certainly alarming, also noting they go to Syracuse next up on Wednesday. Probably more of a fade on South Florida, but Pitt does have a couple motivational factors (revenge, senior day) and I think I've been consistent with how good this offense can be in certain spots. Today should be one of those days.
3* Pitt -6.5
Not really interested in much else today. Tennessee State's been on a tear, but they don't handle guard pressure all that well and Miami OH will pressure them pretty well (little pressure in the OVC). Tenny State's also got their last game of the year with Murray State on tap. Vandy certainly didn't letdown the other night posting a point total north of 100. Letdown occur today? Very possible with an ugly Georgia style. No interest in MSU/Purdue. Curious to see how Purdue responds to the suspensions. Barlow/Byrd were playing well, but the numbers only show that they were good at not turning the ball over. Hard to think that Painter don't have another guy who he can put on the court to not turn the ball over and hit an occasional jumpshot. Just a death-trap for MSU, here. Played physical Ohio State and Wisconsin, and go into another physical today, although Purdue's been a bit more "finesse" this year. Just an ugly game all-around.

If you have a second, I would be curious to hear your thoughts about MSU/Purdue, more specifically, the effects of Byrd's suspension and Barlow being kicked off the team. Seems like a really short time to prepare an alternate game plan for a hot Sparty squad?

Read his entire post and your answer will be right there. Not sure how you missed it, I'm guessing that you just looked for his pick in bold and didn't bother to read his write up.

In the Penn st and Wisconsin match up baskets are gonna be tough to come by so i am really liking the plus 14. They have already played one close game also... what you think?
