Aloha everybody, quite an exciting next couple of days as the historical and magical town of Lahaina tries to get back on its feet. This will truly be a large and positive step for the community…

From hanging out here the past week I can say I have a tentative vibe on the squads. N Carolina is absolutely well represented…..as is Michigan St. Michigan state however, was stuck on the OGG Airport tarmac for close to 3 hours (rumor from a booster). Tall guys and airplanes don’t jive. ;) I will say my favorite game today is Auburn -3.5 vs Iowa St and that I will also be wagering the Cyclones ML. 
Auburn looks to be a family..they had the whole hang on a chartered yacht Saturday. Tall guys on boats is pretty interesting also. lol. With Johni Broome an NBA prospect and Baker Mazara the War Eagle is also the hottest ticket in town!
Memphis Tigers were all chilling on the beach at Kaanapali when a Snorkel Tour boat rolled in to disembark that had been chartered by a HS girls team of some sport. You should have heard the boys whistling, chirping, and buzzing the girls! 
Tarheels arrived early and actually were on Oahu to play Univ Hawaii… a smart move with 3 straight days of Basketball (only in tournaments like this) to get acclimated in my opinion.
I saw a crew from Iowa State dropping their NIL money at Versace at Whalers Village….lol. 
Colorado, and although Tad Boyle is one of my Guys, is definitely the low man on the totem pole and most likely will face Dayton in the 7vs8 game Wednesday. That leaves is with UCONN….i haven’t seen or heard a much at all from that camp. Including boosters and fans. Obviously the best current day Coach in the country, and already right there with Izzo as a Hall of Famer. But I don’t see the energy here that I would expect from a back to back champion. They’re the first game vs Memphis 9:30am and well. Not sure they can cover the 8. I spoke with a UConn booster asked him where is everybody?? His response, candid and makes sense “ After two whole years of traveling the country and winning the national championships, a lot of us simply couldn’t afford coming out here.” Like I said I think UConn’s heart isn’t in the right spot…most likely will play Memphis awaiting the pregame Husky steam.
