My opinion is the line dipped because each team is comfortable playing slow and each team has bigs to clog the paint, thus most points will have to be earned from the perimeter and behind the arc. Under those conditions, +8.5 (and now +7.5) is a nice chunk of points to have in your back pocket.
Another likely reason for the drop is that while St. Mary's has looked great so far, they really haven't played anyone notable yet (plus they've all been home games). While Vandy has faced 3 very solid teams in Memphis, Southern Miss, and Temple. They've also played Morehead who is no pushover.

I gotta run and I mean no disrespect towards you. I'm just trying elaborate how the user you thought negative about is not. This forum years ago was way different. We all want to beat the books and help each other do so. In 2022 in turned into a shlt talking competition and bad mouthing plays 30 min after game starts . Good caps get run off here by shit talkers that would never dare to keep a running thread with wins/losses . The good caps on here post plays wish best of luck. Not no lock crap, winner here , play of century junk . Follow the consistent ones that don't say things like " fade" of similar junk. I've seen some go 13 straight then lose 3 in row and army of trolls start bashing. Anyways BOL and I wish you a profitable weekend and Happy Thanksgiving
