i have no idea wat relevance 1st half plays have to anything,its never,ever been stated that they are official system plays....so yea 3-2 is a good day as far as i can tell

Here's my input for games tomorrow for whatever its worth:
Manhattan has to turn around from a heart breaking loss to rival Iona, and see the size and athleticism of Quinnipiac. It may be worth through a little on the Q money line. But i'll take the 5 points.
SMU is as hot as anyone in the country not named Kentucky. UCONN hasn't been playing very well as of late. Although the revenge factor has to be brought up, I'm not sure UCONN is gonna be able to find enough scoring to stay in this one. SMU Pick Em
If Iona/St. Pete was the only game being played, I would play it no doubt. But because there are other options I'll stay away. But Iona can score....and in a hurry. AJ English is the best guard in the country you've never heard of, David Laury is a man on the blocks, and Shadrac Casmir plays much more poised than most freshman. Ahhh to hell with it, I talked myself into it. Iona -4.5
Pitt is a conference road win away from possibly dancing in a couple weeks. If they win out, they are for sure in. Its completely possible, but it all starts tomorow. Jamie Dixon knows this and will have his guys ready. Atleast thats what 'm betting on. Pitt -2
If Stanford/Oregon was the only game being played...nevermind. If Stanford makes the tourney, they are worth throwing money on as a long shot to make the final four. The talent is there. The focus sometimes tends to wander though, and for that reason, I shall pass.
And the game of the day. Purdue/Ohio St. Should be a doozy. Purdue wants to score inside, and shouldn't have all too much trouble doing so. Ohio State wants to score from the guard position. Shouldn't be too terribly hard either. But if Purdue does what I think Matt Painter will do, extend possessions and make the OSU guards defend every possession for 20-25 seconds, advantage Boilers. 9 is too many. Purdue and the points.

Sure did appreciate your Rhode Island and particularly your Georgia call yesterday Ryno. Jumped off the page so to speak once you posted it. Perhaps hadn't forgiven them for their first half at home against S. Carolina in a big spot a short while back! With you on your thoughts today sir and really think Purdue puts a halt to the Buckeyes streak of home court beatdowns today as well!! By the way, I figured you were in the Puckett era with your age. Growing up having your Cubbies forced to contend with "The Big Red Machine" over there!! One last thing...I have some old footage from around 1987ish that i recorded off tv of my pitching idol, Nolan Ryan, hurling against your Cubs. Even when the Ryan Express wasn't on his curveball, he was often untouchable as you well know...his curveball was on that day bud! Man that ball "whined" when he threw and you could hear his grunt from the nosebleeds! Best ever for me. Good luck to you and everyone today.

Any concern with Iona's interest level in this game having already locked up conference championship?
Its a great point, but I'm not positive that the Gaels can afford a bad loss at this point. Lunardi has them as a 12 seed as it stands with 24 wins...more like a 10 if you ask me. Iona scores 70 points before they get out of bed everyday, so I fully expect a full effort tonight. Cluess is a passionate coach who expects that out of his guys. Laury III is too much inside, and English can get to the hoop whenever he wants. Its just a terrible matchup for St. Pete. But, thats why they play the game.

I think Oregon is the play here, but Im not confident enough due to the Cardinal ability to score in bunches. If Chasson Randle gets hot, and it happens, he can run off 8-10 straight himself. Its like when Allen Iverson or Jay Williams would get that twinkle in their eye and BAM...no one else even gets to touch the ball. Stanford needs a win as bad as anyone coming into the last week as well. I just can't put confident money on either side. But gun to my head, I'd take Oregon.
As far as ASU is concerned....yuck. What a terrible game this shall be. Its tough to go into the altitude in Boulder, and the Buffs hold serve at home pretty well. The Devils don't travel well and tack on that its senior day, I'd lean Colorado. Should get a spirited effort out of CU as they send off Askia Booker, who just so happens to be their best player. He should have a day himself. Depending on how the day starts, I may dabble on the Buffs a little later on.

The fact that St. Pete has gotten out to an early lead doesn't bode well for us Iona backers. Now they can slow the game down and take Iona out of what they want to do on offense which is run run run and get a shot within 10 seconds. We will what kind of adjustments are made at half time.

Rodney Purvis tripled his season scoring average. No way to see that coming. There is no excuse for Iona though. They didn't look interested in even playing until about the 10:00 mark o the second half. They won't beat Manhattan again if they play like that.
