Yeah, it's amazing that the oddsmakers still value this WVU team as much as they did toward the end of last season. I don't care if "truck" bryant is back or not, they are clearly missing the leadership of Da'Sean Butler. And I'm not sure if that void can be filled.

I think Depaul will stay inside the number tonight. This WV team is not even close to last years squad. They arent rebounding like they used to, and havent found that go to scorer yet. Bryant looks like he wants to be that guy, but he needs help from a few others.

Depaul's given up some pretty big #'s to some lesser offenses due to their style of play. WVU is probably one of the top offenses in the country and shouldn't have trouble scoring. They're coming off a game in which they shot above average, and a game in which a few of their players returned home in front of family and friends at Georgetown and had above average games. I'd also be concerned that a majority of Depaul's points are being scored on the interior, and Huggins defense is almost entirely focused on defending the paint.
Not trying to argue here, just trying to point out why the line is at or near 11 and offer up some discussion.

West virginia consistently over rated on the road all year(1-5 ATS) Taking the points here
I'm not sure what the ATS record has to do with anything or how it factors into any game anywhere, but their three true road games and three neutral's have all come against top 100 teams outside of Davidson, who is actually 50 spots better than Depaul (who is at 160ish) in many rankings. Those six teams also feature top 100 offenses and top 100 three-point shooting teams, again outside of Davidson. Depaul is no where near any of those teams in terms of efficiency, or three-point shooting ability.

If oddsmakers have overrated West Virginia in those games in which they were favored, then they should have made all of the games a PK, which doesn't meet their goal of why oddsmakers are in the business to begin with and there is no point in getting money on both sides.
Team A is favored over Team B by -11, they come out and shoot 15% from the field and get blown out 92-60. They overrated?

But it doesn't matter who they have played....weather its the top 5 best teams in the country or the 5 worst....the spread is supposed to make them a coin flip. So in order to spot value I look at WV 3 TRUE road games this year and see they are 0-3 ATS missing the cover by 3, 3 and 5. Then look at Depauls last 3 True home games and see they've covered the spread by 6, 10.5 and 13. Who do you want your money on tonight? I'm not saying WV cant blow Depaul out tonight but its obvious to me WV has been over rated on the road and depaul has been under valued at home.
