St. Mary's....Gonzaga....?!?! I think we already know they don't get much competition in the WCC. But that's what can make a team like Butler in the last couple of years to be so unpredictable. We were discussing a team in a "good" conference and weren't even talking about Mid-Major teams.

I really believe that Kansas would OWN the Big 10 if they were in it. I think Thomas Robinson proves that you can be 6'9" and own the post without being fat like Sullinger, ha ha. (We'll see how well that comment goes over in this thread)

I said Mizzou back in early December and I'm not changing it.  Kentucky looks unstoppable, but I've seen The Calipari Show enough times to know how this ends.

I believe it's not fair to quote Chus....he was saying the same thing you are. There was one poster who was so High on Kentucky that he said Kentucky could beat NBA teams. Chus wasn't making the comparison really, but just saying pretty much what you said too.

If people think Kentucky and Cuse are just gonna steamroll over the competition into the finals they are hardly mistaken. Wouldn't be surprised it Kentucky won it all, but Cuse no way. They always run into a team that is playing their absolute best because its March Madness and poop their diapers.

Everyone always says cal always ruins chance of winning..... That is confusing to me because only the one year at Memphis did the team blow it....... Uk 2010 had all sorts of trouble shooting the ball; all uk fans knew it might bite them on the butt.    Last years uk team overachieved significantly, and no other team besides the d rose team a Memphis ever had a shot of actually winning..... They were always above average;  but above average aNd actually being considered as a shot to win it all are way different.

I really think there are only about 7 teams with an actual shot of winning the title

JMO, I'd take Mizzou, Duke, and Michigan St. out of the "win it all" category, but that's JMO. And maybe take Syracuse out also, but that's the team I've seen play the least, don't have a full grasp on them yet.

I can respect that. It wouldn't completely shock me if you were right either. I think the Big 10 is a lot better than what people are giving them credit for. MSU played one of the toughest schedules in the country this year and vastly improved from the start of the season. I feel like OSU has digressed a little bit and yet they still won at MSU on senior day. 

Michigan is an enigma to me because they are a typical Beiline team that can shoot their way into upsetting a really good team or they could be knocked out in round one if the shots don't fall. Their lack of rebounding could kill them against anyone. 

I understand what you are saying about Wisconsin and don't necessarily disagree with it completely. However, I would much rather have Bo Ryan as a coach than a lot of other coaches in this tourney that probably have more talent. The way they play will keep them in most games late. They also have a good PG which, imo, is essential for a deep tourney run. 

Indiana is still the only team to beat Kentucky this year and Crean is really putting this program back together again. The guy also made a Final Four at Marquette so he isn't exactly a stranger to deep tourney runs. The only problem they have is their tourney games won't be played at Assembly Hall. 

I think Illinois was the real disappointment of the Big 10 this year. I hope Bruce Weber lands somewhere decent when he is let go after this season.

Well OSU did go to KU and give them a game.....without Sullinger. It would be interesting to see that game with Sullinger. 

Obviously I don't think KU would dominate in the Big 10. What other big's did T Rob have to play against in the Big 12? I didn't watch a ton of Big 12 ball this season so I'm not really sure.

K, I guess you really stumped me with the Bigs question that Robinson would've played against in the Big 12. There definitely aren't "Bigs" as in a Sully, Green, or the Trees of UK or UNC that are of those calibers. Good Point.

Im always hard on Syracuse because of that. Thats why whether they are 32-1 or 25-6, im never really feeling syracuse at this point. They got a beast of a team though so we will see. Only game they lost was a game where fab melo didnt play. They definitely going to be a tough out but I just see one game along the line where they are losing by 6-10 points all game long and just dont have it that night

3 teams: UNC, CUSE, UNC stand out above the rest

kentucky only beat UNC by 1 earlier this year and i think UNC has made bigger strides in improving since then.....cuse is a dangerous dangerous team!!!

Botz I think you are right..... As a uk fan I don't wanna play unc again..... My out is they played pretty damn good and shot around 65% from 3 and still lost..... And I feel uk especially davis has made significant progress offensively

Little nervous about cuse as well because they play that zone which is different for us and all other top teams will play man to man

don't get me wrong...kentucky is Nasty,,,,,top 20 in off scoring, defensive scoring, rebounds and #1 in blocks,,,,they are def one of THE BEST!!! 

but unc is a scary matchup for everyone!!

davis is 100% beastmode all game on the def end....heard them talkin that he has been practicing with the 2nd unit to get more offensive touches....looks to me like he can shoot it alright might just need to gain the confidence,,,,can u imagein how good he would be as a SENIOR??????

i do look forward to a MELO vs DAVIS match-up though!!! that game wil have blocked shots all over the place!!
