Was also leaning to UTES today but I've decided to back off this one.

More on gut feel than fundamental reasoning here.  That Texas State upset makes one think Baylor is crap.....and they could be!  Or it could be a freaky one-off that's going to sucker in a lot of people.

Utes are very highly rated but looked downright mediocre against Florida last week.  Gators actually beat them in the stats, and that was in UTAH.

  It just feels like it's too easy a call to take UTAH here ......and whenever it feels like it's an easy/obvious call that gives me pause.

Since I don't need the action, I'm passing, with no regrets.

But if YOU are on UTES then BOL! 

Felt fatigued making bets and typing writeups last night and now worried that may have clouded my capping

Have several more coming today and then NFL tomorrow....

I have these two rated dead even despite Pirates losses in returning production!

No apparent key injuries of concern, so what am I missing??

Yes, Pirates got a beat down last week. But they covered the spread and that loss was to the #3 ranked team in CFB and ON THE ROAD!

Now they are AT HOME to a mediocre Marshall squad that struggled in their own park to barely edge a mediocre FCS team If Marshall struggles to beat an FCS team on their own homefield, how will they fare against an opp equal to themselves when on the road?!

Anything can happen in football of course.  Unlucky breaks & turnovers!  We all know that. But I always like HOME DOGS when the teams are EVEN or close to an even matchup (ratings) and I'll take my chances on the homefield meaning something.

Anyone know why the Vandy @ WAKE game got delayed just shortly after WAKE returned an INT to the 6??

Meanwhile, IRISH open the game and go backwards......NCSTATE get great field position at the 50 and go nowhere......then IRISH start at their 10 and go nowhere.....NCSTATE has good field pos for 2nd drive at their 44....

Meanwhile, back in Boulder.....BUFFS got lucky from an UNforced error on a 3rd down play that hit a back and stalled a drive....then Huskers 45 yd FGA hits the upright to leave the game scoreless so far!

Lucky Buffs there as they have looked lacklustre on offense....

Yes, I bet the BUFFS su.....but I am acknowledging BUFFS have been LUCKY so far in first half and not winning by superior play...

Meanwhile my decision to back off the UTES that I was leaning to looks like a good decision thus far as they are being outplayed and now down 3 - 10  late 2Q......

OMG...... BUFFS just picked off a pass at the Husker 30!!!

Not lucky though, as the defender jumped in front of that passing lane perfectly and deserved that pick!

Immediately, BUFFS toss a TD to a wide open WR near the goalline

I'll be objective here and suggest that all of BUFFS 13 first half points resulted directly from Nebraska miscues.

Buffs INT and subsequent TD was earned, but still came from a Husker miscue....

But that's sport. 

Either be better than the other team  OR  don't make as many mistakes as they do.  Buffs benefitting from the latter right now and Huskers just can't seem to get out of their own way, despite a decent ground game against a porous BUFFS run defense.....

Huskers get an EARNED  TD of their own.

This is an even game except for those early Husker miscues.

OTOH,, Huskers just escaped with a break of their own when they decided to blitz and BUFFS caught them in a long pass but it was underthrown so the receier had to hold up and that prevented an easy TD.....BUFFS driving though.....and miss an open WR in the EZ......lucky Huskers!!.....but next play the BUFFS get back their own EARNED TD

WOW!.....after the weather delay, first play,  80 yd earned TD run for the IRISH! 

BUFFS up 23 - 7 early 4thQ......and ANOTHER Husker miscue as BUFFS benefit from gaining an UNforced fumble  and recovery

This Colorado drive ....they are making it look easy...........TOUCHDOWN!!

BUFFS    29 - 7   with 10:45 left

At this point in the stats:

Buffs have given 40 more yards in penalties against them, but

20 first downs to just 12

and 411 yards to just 234

I am thinking BUFFS will be DD favs AT HOME vs. Colo STATE next week.

After that win, they will LOSE at OREGON whoo I figure likely to be favored by 7.5
