Why on earth are you surprised?! The last 15 posts are you and badlands giving eachother reacharounds.
To address Mortgage Man's post, please site me your references on this "from what I have seen, 80% of the public is on OK." I would LOVE to see what your sources are on that.
My assessment is...you have no clue what percent of the public is on which side. Maybe the line is climbing because heavy hitters are also pounding OU, not just the public? Afterall, it's not the number of wagers coming in on a game that bumps or drops a line, but the amount of money.
LMAO!

tmac are you aware of the signifigant difference between 15 and 5,500???? you may have a problem with numbers, that could explain a lot.

I know it's a struggle for you, but read my post one more time (or ten times if you need to).
I were referring to BlueHens bringing up the 5000 views and 100+ comments. So, my last post refers to the 100+ comments, not the 5000+ views. 15 out of 100 is rather significant.
And it's dmac, not tmac. From the looks of things, it's you who has the problem with numbers.
You keep referring to everyone on Oklahoma as a die hard fan. My team is the crappy San Diego State Aztecs...get that thru your thick skull. I have NO LOVE FOR THE DAMN Sooners! I bet to win money...not to jump on the frickin bandwagon.

As you can see, currently 84% on Oklahoma. Like I said in my original post, I wouldn't be surprised if the Sooners crush Tulsa. But, I also know that these kind of in-state rivalry games have a different meaning to the lesser school (Tulsa). They compete for the same athletes and for the state bragging rights. Plus, When I first started betting football, I didn't know what a back door cover was...I quickly learned...the hard way!!! I see this game starting off with Oklahoma having some sustained drives down the field ending in touchdowns and should be up by 35-10 0r 35-14. Since this isn't a conference game and there is a conference game for OK next on the schedule, I can see the coach start to rotate in the second and third stringers. Then with the no-huddle offense that Tulsa runs, they will do the "back door cover shuffle" I don't think that Oklahoma is in danger of losing this game, I just question whether the coaches will keep the hammer down for 60 minutes and whether Oklahoma's defense can shut down Tulsa's offense enough to cover the spread.
I love the debate and both sides make great arguments as to why they think their side will cover the spread. There has just been some crazy games already played this year and more to come and don't be surprised if Tulsa comes in under the number.

Awesome post bro! You make some excellent points, and I agree with a few of them. However, I also know Bob Stoops and his coaching style a great deal. Last week, against Utah State, Stoops didn't pull Bradford out of the game until the middle of the 3rd Quarter when they were up 54-3. That game wasn't a nationally televised Friday Nighter either. In a game like this, Stoops knows that his team needs to score as much as possible, because Tulsa does have the potential to score points. I don't see him taking his foot off the gas, unless it's a score similar to the Utah State game. The OU football team will have a chip on its shoulder until a showdown with a legit contender happens. As long as the OU defense doesn't give up more than 2-3 TDs, I see no reason the Sooners shouldn't cover tonight.
