Your a homer also calling the kettle black.
Tell you want, you can check this out any day, all day, and everyday.
McCarron stats was better coming into the football season then Wilson's and McCarron was red shirted his 1st year and Wilson was not. So say want you won't to about Alabama's no name QB.

They better show up to play because this game will be decided by which QB makes more mistakes and my bet is on the no name qb Bama has. Hogs steal this one in Alabama by 3.
I hate to inform you that AJ McCarron is a more highly touted QB than Tyler Wilson.
Tyler Wilson was ranked as the 9th best pro-style QB in the nation in the 2008 class, and was not ranked nationally. McCarron was the #2 ranked pro-style QB in the nation in the 2009 class, and was ranked in the top 100 nationally. McCarron also qualified for the Elite 11 QB Camp. So LOL at you characterizing AJ McCarron as a "no name" QB. Saban doesn't recruit any "no name" players at any position.
But neither Wilson nor McCarron will be the highest rated QB at the game this Saturday. That distinction belongs to Phillip Sims. Sims was the #1 pro-style QB in the nation in the 2010 class, and was ranked in the top 50 nationally. Sims was also selected for the Elite 11 QB Camp.
What Wilson does have going for him over both McCarron and Sims is experience. This is Wilson's 4th season, while Sims and McCarron are in their 2nd and 3rd season respectively.
I agree that this game may come down to the QB who makes the fewest mistakes, and I can almost guarantee you that'll be McCarron. Wilson will be throwing into the top secondary in the nation, and McCarron will be throwing into the weak link of the Arky defense - their secondary. That is why Alabama will most likely win this game.

One of Troy's TDs was a pick 6.

As you and I both know, recruiting rankings won't mean shit in this game. I think Wilson is an excellent QB that will thrive under Petrino. Because he plays in Petrino's system, he'll probably have a good shot of being a high NFL draft pick someday.
What I like about Wilson more than Mallet is his ability to create on the move. Mallet was a statue in the pocket, and if you could force him to move his feet, you could force him into mistakes. Ohio State did a great job of that in the Sugar Bowl. I don't think Wilson is as easily rattled. I actually fear Wilson more than Mallett.
I think Wilson will probably make more mistakes in this game becasue he's throwing into Bama's secondary. If the roles were reversed and McCarron had to throw into Bama's secondary, I would say McCarron would make more mistakes. In other words, it's more the defense the QB has to contend with more so than the QB himself. Both are talented and capable.
As far as bars are concerned, I like the Houndstooth. I also like Buffalo Phil's, but that is more like a restaurant. I like Buffalo Phils cuz I know a hot little waitress that works there. Nevertheless, I'll be in T-town on Saturday rooting for the Tide.

I think this line will be about 10 at kickoff. It you like the Pigs, I would jump on the number now.

Well thats one thing about computers it seems to make people 10ft tall and bullet proof...lol i know exactly what you're talking about. I plan on doing a small write up on this game, and believe me i will give credit where credit is due on both sides of the ball. Right now i was waiting for the line to drop which i think it will.
Why didn't you put some exlax in you're QB's coffee so you could play? Just kidding at least you got to experince something only few do playing college football warming the bench...just kidding again
I believe everyone has the right to their opinions/predictions of games they believe will happen homer or not, but i dislike people who think others don't know shit about the sport.
You and i both know, football is one of the most important things to us in the south beside's our family's. We know football and screw people who think we don't.
But if i said Wilson suck shit threw a straw i'd expect you to say something back. I was just letting you know McCarron is a good a QB as Wilson and you should expect this come game day...
Best of Luck to you Razorback fans also, i remember the 1st Alabama game i went to was against Arkansas which got over 600 total yards on Alabama at home and Arkansas still lost.
As far as bars, i worked them for allot of years and i'm retired and never cared for drinking a cold one other then a Dr Pepper.
Good Luck this weekend...

The blame for not "opening up the playbook" shouldnt be placed on the shoulders of McElwain. It's Saban. Playing conservative, not putting his QB in a position to make the big mistake, etc Thats his style. Control the clock, establish the run and let his defense win/loss the games. For example, look at his LSU teams vs the Florida State teams of the last 2 years. Jimbo will open it up and loves to do so. Saban handcuffs his coordinators and micromanages the game. But its tough to complain or moan about it becaause it works.
