Excited to kick off the CFB year. Excited for all the bad weather which may affect games later in the winter )) Excited that a hurricane with 22 mph winds and gust up to 30 mph will be in play for the Hawaii v Delaware St game. O/U is at 55.5. Delaware as we all have read missed its flight; it chances of scoring is minimal. Hawaii will win but i think the wind will reduced their throwing attempts using more run plays and more time off the clock. Now i am drinking all day at the local bar and watch CFB, MLB and NFL preseason so chances are that I will be passed out when this game kicks off at midnight but I am going UNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNDER 55.5.
Good luck everyone this season.

There is literally no chance of rain and the wind isn’t forcasted to be bad enough to affect the passing game….you may want to do your homework a little better IF this is your angle on the play.
GL either way

he said there is a hurricane will affect the game, there is no hurricane right now, nor will there be when this game is played….and there is literally no chance of rain when the game is played
this play may or may not hit, but his reasoning isn’t even close to being true

barely windy right now with sunny skies. Tropical storm to the south of the island of Oahu should pass sunday night into Monday. Game might have a little sprinkle with passing rain if any but nothing crazy. I also like the under
It's all probabilities

Yeah same goin to the game tonite and don’t think we will have heavy rain storm expected to hit the northern part of chain later this weekend if anything. Do think Hawaii should be giving no one 40 points but we shall seee if Chang boiz got better this off season a lot of returners we shall see

warriors temporary stadium is on campus and in Manoa. Anyone that knows Oahu knows that it rains a lot with trade wind showers in Manoa. Being that winds will be about 15-20 mph gust it will be slightly raining on and off all night and the winds will blow showers from the mountains over to the city. This is very common. The heavy downpour will be tomorrow when the storm past to the south. Warriors have the huge advantage if ANY with weather as they practice every morning in slight rain. Wind if it gets real windy is a toss up and will affect both teams. There is really no wind right now and it sunny in town.

I live in Hawaii, about 15min from stadium. It's a little windy but nothing crazy. It's overcast with some rain, but that's pretty normal here. Team practices in conditions like this all the time.
The hurricane is a tropical storm and it's like 300 miles away.

First off - sure the rain and wind did not fully materialized like I thought BUT for those of us who play the weather angle we take a look at the weather forecasts days before the game in an effort to predict whether a line (for me mostly the OVER and UNDER line) is correct or not given possible weather impacts. So i am looking at the weather days ahead to try and get a jump on the line. Sometimes it is an accurate prediction and sometimes it isn't...in this case it obviously wasn't as bad as predicted.
Secondly - for those that followed this game the line went from early o/u of 56-55.5 to 53.5 then finally in some markets it ended up i believe at 51.5. Me taking under 55.5 when i did based on the weather prediction at the time was still for me the right play. That is what we as weather angle players do. Everyone else and a lot of people here can wait until the final minute to see the line come down and place their bet - that's fine but that's not for me. The game ended at 49 total points.
Third, i have been doing this for years. And for years people tell me "oh weather doesn't make a difference and only if it is windy does it make a difference" - well fine, those people can have that opinion but i am here to tell that if in a game it is pouring down rain without any wind THAT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE and i have cashed in many games on the under when it is raining without wind.
Finally all today and tomorrow I will be examining next week's games for any WEATHER related impacts. Why so early? So if i see something i can take advantage of the lines...that's my angle and whether the forecast holds true or not, that's what my niche is.

Not if you want to take advantage of lines early in the week. It is your choice, play and opinion to wait until 1 minute before the game when the lines have adjusted. In my case, right or wrong, i look at what games "may" be impacted by weather and bet early week lines in an attempt to gain an advantage.

You miss the point entirely. Perhaps you didn't look at the weather early in the week and the O/U line early in the week as well. Hit or miss, the reasoning is wrong is not true if you placed the bet early in the week when the line was 56-55.5 and when the weather was predicted to be bad.
