Why on earth would they make Pryor sit through a U of M basketball game on his visit.  I wouldn't be surprised if that just totally eliminated Michigan altogether, making him watch the pathetic Michigan basketball team.  They should have sent him to the symphony, that would have been more entertaining.

He might delay making an announcement so that he will have time to visit UO, that is what I am reading now.  I think that will be the difference too, he won't commit to the Ducks if he's never been there obviously (not too many 18 year olds will leave home to go 2500 miles away to a place they've never seen), but the facilities they have are second-to-none as they are funded by Nike and Phil Knight, its a huge edge they have over everyone.  I bet that if he makes the trip to Eugene, he winds up a Duck, if he doesn't make the trip it will be OSU/UM.  PSU is also in the mix, but considered a dark horse.

Based on a little reading I have been doing it sounds like barring a trip to UO it would be:

Ohio State -130
Michigan +110

Or if he makes the trip to Eugene it will probably be:

Big Ten -120
Oregon +100

To me the fact that the only non-regional school he is even considering is Oregon, is a testament to Bellotti and the reputation Oregon has developed over the past few years.  They have actually had a number of decent commitments this year.

I don't get bent out of shape over high schools kids, I think its pretty silly.  I worry about them once they actually pick a team, and then I can start capping them, not the other way around, but it can be fun to speculate.  I used to get all caught up in this shit, not so much anymore.

Oh well, I wish him luck wherever he goes.

I would love to see him out here at Oregon, but I guess I could live with him going to tOSU.  I just hate Michigan with an unbridled passion, so that choice would not be alright with me.

PJ, that is not a shot at you by any means, just never liked the Wolverines ever since I was a Notre Dame fan when I was young.  And all the love for Tom Brady is further compounding my ire at UM right now.  (Still am a closet Domer for the record, which means I have to hate Michigan State, USC, and BC as well.)

Oh, no problem my man.  I just hate that fact that Michigan even has to be in this situiation.  If they wouldn't of hired Rich and his gimmicky ass offense, Mallet would be the starter and Michigan probably wouldn't even be going after this kid as hard. 

But, now if they don't get him, they are going to be lacking at QB.  Not that they wouldn't anyways with him starting as a freshman.  They are going to have a horrible season and I wouldn't be surprised if they struggle to get to 6 wins and miss a bowl game.

Rodriguez' offense isn't gimmicky.  It's a proven success with many teams around the country running similar offenses.  Just because a team doesn't line up with a tight end and a fullback every down with a pocket QB doesn't mean that it's not a legitimate offensive scheme.

he should go to OSU. They will teach him to throw. Rod will just have him run, run, run, and that won't prepare him for the NFL. Look at Pat White. Great athlete. But Rod just didn't give him enough time on throwing, and now he won't make a good NFL qb.

Could this be an indication that Pryor is expected to play at the Big House? God I hope so.

Pryor is heaaded to OSU... Oregon has no shot.... Grew up in Jeannette... The kid has been a phenom since 5th grade.. not playing college BB.. Will announce on Wed.. Going to OSU... Will he will be starting befroe the end of his freshman year..

You might have your info wrong. According to ESPN.com he won't be signing a national letter of intent on Wednesday because he is still undecided about his future.

As of Wednesday night all four programs are in the running.  He will be making a visit to Oregon and Penn State.

Oregon is lip service... Pryor's dad is in a wheelchair with bad health... He will stay within a 3 hour drive from J-town.. His dad wants him to go  to PSU.. He does not.. Yep.  I have been saying that for a couple weeks now (ever since I started following this non-sense about 18 year olds), I think if he visits we can get him, nobody competes facilities-wise.  If he never shows up we won't get him obviously.

I used to follow recruiting like a psycho, but not anymore.  Its really all about how well you develop the talent that you do get, rather than who actually signs with you.

WCT, sounds like USC is going to to be solid in the trenches for a few more years.  Isn't that where most of your talent was this time, on the OL and DL?

Yep, USC's biggest holes next, and the year after, is the OL and DL, especially the DL. We don't have any big uglies plugging the middle. Thats going to be a major problem next season. And I didn't see any great DL recruits this year, so we'll see. Absolutely love the OL recruits coming in though. Khaled Holmes and Matt Kalil are absolute studs.

Any updates on this? Did he visit Oregon and PSU yet? out of all the schools, i'd love to see him go to PSU, and i really don't like them as a team, but if he's as good as advertised, he might help PSU make a run towards the top......of the shit11

I'm hoping JoePa can convince him to come to Penn State, but I highly doubt it. His best options are Ohio State and Michigan, with Ohio St being the best choice. I don't know how we will compete with that though, as they will have the top O-line, one of the top RBs in Beanie Wells and a top QB in Pryor. OSU will be scary if they can get this guy...
