For me, it got to the point that I couldn't watch a game unless I had something riding on it. I got over this by cutting the amount of plays I was making in half and I spent time forcing myself to watch games without any money on them. It reminded me of life before gambling, life without point spreads. When I was actually just an enthusiastic fan of the game and not a cynical outcast. If it gets to the point that you're checking the offshore websites just to see the schedule of who's playing, then it's probably time to step back and get reacquainted with the game on a much more basic level.
