Arch Manning may have to wait 3 years, but eventually, he will be the starting QB for UT-Austin...And he will be a good one...
He will transfer in 1-2 years if he is not the starter by next season(Season after this)....No way is he sitting on the bench...And that will be the demise of Sark and Texas if they are forced to play him and stick with him...Like I said its still way too early but No way does he looks like a 5* prospect now...The arm talent is weak IMO...

Sark won’t be forced to play him. He will get every opportunity, but as you guys will find in the next couple of years, no one player, in the NIL and transfer portal era is bigger than The Institution that is The University of Texas at Austin, my alma mater, BBA 1992…He will have to earn it…or he will be released to transfer wherever he wants to go…

Most of his competition in High School was borderline hilarious. Still promising young dude. I mean come on…. Peyton and Eli training all these other QB’s, I expect harder training on their own flesh and blood.

Agree.

@davemsh
So the SEC was early on scheduled opponents for the 2024 season.
Texas isn’t playing Tennessee or Ole Miss to start their SEC campaign but in 2025 I guarantee one of the Manning Alma Maters sneaks into the Texas scheduling. No way Arch Manning Doesn’t start in 2025.

IF Sark is committed to playing the best QB he has, then I think Malik Murphy will definitely beat out Manning as long as both of them are on campus. Murphy was the star of the spring game and looked better than both Ewers and Manning. Manning is 3rd team this year and if Ewers misses games with injury ( a la last year), look for Murphy to get some action and blow the doors of any chance that Manning will be the starting QB next season.
If Murphy does not get a fair shot at starting next year, I'm sure he will transfer out. Based on the 2023 spring game, Manning is clearly the 3rd best option at QB this year.

Bust or not, I think most of us can agree that Texas probably has the best QB room in the country. Now, if they can just transfer that to the field...

@DrStrangelove
after Ewers and Manning, who is their third guy?
so many people in here don't think Manning is that good and i can tell you Ewers is nothing spectacular IMO

Don't bet against Texas this season...You are going to find out, that in the case of Ewers, you are a 5 star talent, and everyone is telling you and your family that you underachieved in 2022, he is going to come out motivated...He cut the stupid mullet off, trimmed his beard, and his noticably leaner and more muscular than he was last season. Our backup QB BTW is Malik Murphy, who is a physical beast...Murphy performed the best of the 3 QB's in the Spring Game. Manning will redshirt and not see the field until 2025 or 2026 as the starter...After a Spring and Summer of weights and conditioning, Manning now passes the eye test as a D1 QB...It is yet to be seen if he will live up to his potential, and/or family legacy...He is a good kid...I see a lot of haters on this string...More Texas haters I will assume than Manning haters...Texas is over-hyped every year...I think you will see them live up to the hype this season...
