One thing that stuck with me about this TENN squad was their offensive performance vs UAB. I'm not sure about my numbers exactly but they were something like 2 for 11 on 3rd down in that game. If UAB had a kicker instead of a headcase, they would've won the game in regulation by 9.
TENN will NOT score more than 1 offensive TD in this game.

I remember Dooley saying weeks back his team was young, and the best he could say about them was when, they make a mistake we'll try and coach them out of it and hope it works.
I believe the more experinced Alabama team will cover. I'm looking for Ingram to have a brakeout game.

If an offense cannot demonstrate that they are capable of scoring more than 24 points in a game, they have no business laying 17. I think this will be a very close game.
I like LSU a lot. I will be on them this weekend as well.
Don't like Nebraska at all. I like the Cowboys at home with the points.
I have no opinion on Arizona. I have no feel for the PAC 10 most of the time as my small play on UCLA tonight demonstrates.

Until Alabama remedies the fundamental flaw in their offense which I've been talking about for 4 weeks, there won't be any breakout games for Ingram the rest of his Alabama career. His breakout days are over. Tennessee will do what has working for everyone else, which is to play 9 defenders against 5 or 6 blockers, and unless check-down McElroy can burn someone down the middle of the field, you can stick a fork in Bama's running attack.
The only way I can see Bama covering this game is if the defense does it through completely shutting Tennessee's offense down (possible but Bama's offense will still need to score 18 points), or by scoring themselves via turnovers (also possible).
Betting is a game of probability and value, and I see no value whatsoever on the Bama side of this bet . . . none. The bet IMO opinion is Tennessee or UNDER, or nothing at all.
Since 8th grade McElroy has played a grand total of 2.5 season at QB - his senior year of HS, last season, and half of this season.
McElroy plays on a "team." The teams McElroy has played on have lost 1 game while he's played QB, and thank God for McElroy it is a team sport. If it weren't McElroy would not have a winning record. In short, Alabama has been winning in spite of McElroy, NOT because of McElroy.
I'm quite familiar with Tennessee and all of their shortcomings. Those shortcomings notwithstanding, I think Alabama -17 is a terrible bet for all the reasons stated in my writeup.

You know how it is on Covers. The turnover is massive. Next year there will be a whole new breed of people telling me I don't know what I'm talking about, but my record on Bama this season is 6 & 2.
