Anyone that thinks Nick Saban doesn't have a plan to STOP JF is Fvckin Nuts !! If you bet A&M you will lose.. Pay attention to the writing on the wall.. Bama is a better team all around, EVEN ON OFFENSE !! A&M has 1 player Bama has to key on.. Bama has about 6.. Did you even watch the game last year? And did it ever occur to you it was a "trap" game after the LSU miracle ? The best chance A&M had to win this game was for Bama to blow VT away with a dominate offense.. Instead they missed almost every assignment possible and now have tremendous motivation to prove they're a great offense.. This game is a blowout and JF suffers 6-8 sacks.. Bama 41 A&M 20
Best point made of all comments. BAMA Large !

It's not the arrogance of Alabama that will do them in. It's simply time and complacency. There have been plenty of dynasties in college football, and every time people think they will go on forever. Nebraska won 3 NCs in 4 years and people thought that would not change. Only a few years ago USC was getting all the top recruits and they would reign for a decade. I know the Bama fans think the team was "sandbagging," when they could not make blocks, but it could be, they are just not that good...talent or not.
I'm not saying A&M will take them out, but I agree that assuming Alabama will dominate because they have been very good recently is a risk.

Because this game is changing. Why you say.... just open your eyes.
Look at the SEC Championship game last year... it had almost 1000yds of offense in it.
Look at that GREAT South Carolina defense this year..... They gave up 41 to Georgia....more then Clemson gave up btw...
But here is the truth that people dont want to acknowledge.... the saying Defense rules the day.....is really almost a afterthought now. This game....College football.... is about scoring points now. Yeah having a defense is a bonus....
But understand that this game is CHANGING
Here are a couple of very quick questions:
The last 7 NC's have been won by teams from which conference?
Is this "conference" known for its offensive or defensive play?
Did 6 out of the last 7 (possibly all 7) National Champions have an elite defense?

My good Bama friend was literally in tears after last year. Wouldn't return a text. They have it engrained that they are entitled to win and forget that they've won 3 national champs in 4 years, somethign nearly impossible to do (although a hurt Colt gave them a gimme). I called him out on it- guess what, you lose sometimes. It wasn't near the same effect as when they lost in the Iron Bowl a few years before on Cam's epic comeback. This same effect gets into players heads---ask my Texas Longhorns a few years back. All entitlement, no work. On Covers, I see Bama fans max betting their team in all big games--that shows how much kool aid there is.
As for the game, JF isn't like Tebow who you could corral bulldog like in the SEC champ game a few years back in that revenge bout. JF outschemes schemes, although can be careless with the football. What happened in the second half last year is irrelevant as its not the same D. Ricky Seals Jones also is a stud in the making and I was pissed when he de-commited from Texas. Going to interesting to see how Saban prepared for him last year, lol. High school reels?
What I saw from Bama was a defense that you could run on between the tackles, just not side to side. Look for Johnny to step up and run/pass. They lost Dee Millner on the outside which is a big loss and really the safety play isnt all-american. What people mistook for D partially was Logan Thomas ineptitude--passes going 5 yards wide of open receivers. As far as Cooper, ATM has a first/second round pick to put on him, so it's going to be other guys that have to win it for Bama. Can ATM's LBs stop Yeldon is the big question?
ATM gets 3 starters on D back this week, so the D should be better. Bama's strength on D is the DEs, but ATM has the Mathews brothers on the line and a running QB so that might be a wash.
Is it enough to win? I would lean to the points as I see a FG type affair at College Station.

I didn't expect a conversation with you, because when real facts are put fourth, you have no response. You can only speak when you're obnoxiously rambling over your "Top 10 Things We Learned" which comes off as nothing but a sad attempt at boosting your already egotistical and narcissistic personality. Your so called "knowledge" is nothing more than biased opinion serving your hidden agenda, and what you want to be reality. In other words, you're a phony.

Alabama hasn't been a "bad champion," per se. They have been better than most. Arrogance comes with pride and confidence and can be misinterpreted. Clemson would probably act the same way. I just think Alabama's scheduling of fruitcakes, cupcakes and glazed donuts has been a disservice to the national scene; I also think that partnerships with conferences at the college level should be disallowed--ie, ESPN and the SEC. This creates a lot of underhanded, shady dealings; 'free' hype and positive pub; and a definite conflict of interest with big business. There are no laws yet on the books to prohibit or control it, so it is currently out of control. The BCS is also controlled by SEC and ESPN backdoor contrivers and mid managers.
Bama has an inside track once again in this the final year of the non-playoff BCS. I think one loss to A & M will be too much this time. Ohio St and Oregon (easier schedule this yr) could lock out a 1 loss SEC school (well, who knows how the politics would go_.
Johnny Football is impossible to assign defenders to b/c he is able to define a play as it unfolds.
McCarron will be in trouble trying to audibilize in the loudest venue (people right on top of the plays and A&M yellers working all game long), and this has been his forte the last two seasons (that I can remember--even the NC last year.)
This was something I was gonna talk about...but just forgot
But yeah. You are absolutely right. Tackles and guards get off much better at home and are able to handle the flow of the game much better..... on the road just the opposite.
Good example... Clemson/Georgia game this year. Georgia's offensive line really struggled with the crowd noise...and thats a very veteran OL too.... that really hurt them when Clemson pinned there ears back and went after the QB.

Bamafan I think Clemson could be very dangerous this year. If they can string together a complete season for once.. VT might be better than I think they are but watching BAMA play them it was like watching a team that was nothing compared to the last couple BAMA teams. I know nothing last forever and I wonder to myself was last years title the last one? Is it time for a new champion? I don't know if A&M is the team that's going to beat them but I predict BAMA will lose 2 games this year..and I don't see them winning a title this year . Last year no one could touch them(but JF) tour overs lost that game... But this year I see several teams that could beat them and I don't see them winning it all..UNLESS vt is a lot better than I think they are or BAMA learns how to mesh as a team and gets that running game going. BAMAs whole offense revolves around that pounding between the tackles with those horses of rb's they have.. McCarron has a lot of heart an work ethic but there are probably 20 better qb's I'd rather have ..alright maybe 10

Everyone talks so much about the escapability of Maziel. Don't get me wrong he is one of if not the best athelete on the field. But look at last years stats and McCarron and Manziel got sacked the same amount of times. Granted McCarron had a great line in front of him but he also knows how to manage the game and get rid of the football if need be. Manziel lost alot on the Oline same as McCarron. Both have great talent on the line but have moved some around or had to replace some on the line. I'll take Saban's schemes on defense and blitz packages against A&M's anyday. If Saban can get to him early and often it could get ugly. He can move but so can McCarron and I'll take Alabama's D to hold up the whole game and wear down the Aggie D on offense.
