the number is not too high. Baylor will put 63 points on a weak SMU secondary and allow no more than 24
I like the pick. Its my 3rd ranked pick behind Fla St and Mississippi...

This Baylor offense just can't help them selves from scoring. They are just so explosive that you can stop them for a couple of plays and BOOM..... TD. The only way to hold them down is to have a ball control offense to keep their O on the bench. SMU does not have that. Baylor doesn't go into games with intention to run it up; it's just a byproduct of their offense.
I don't care how much character your football team has, once you get down 20-30 points, it's hard to stay motivated. That's why this spread is very bettable.
There is also a little extra motivation for Baylor to impress everyone in their new stadium. I would not be surprised to see RG3 in the locker room. Take a look at Baylor's website; they are counting down the seconds to game time. This is a very motivated team.
Lay the chalk..... Cash the ticket

Dude, I appreciate your skeptism...Baylor gets Bryce Hager back (did not play against UCF) at Middle Linebacker. The Baylor DL is solid, and it LB corps is good not great. The secondary has losses, but I think with scheme Bennett will be able to limit any real threat from an inexperienced SMU QB.
Briles has been known to run up the score. With Petty launching a Heisman campaign, Baylor ranked in the top 10 and opening a new stadium, I think it will take an extraordinary event for Baylor not to cover this lofty spread...
