I like the Over, too. If Bama gets a big lead, they will sit on it. The problem is usually their 2nd and 3rd string are still better than their opponent's 1st string.

Hey Mr. Blowout! Question for ya, Do you still like Texas moving to -13 at my book or is that a bit high for your liking? Not sure what you had it capped at... Sorry to bug you about it and thank you for your time!!!

Numbers rarely matter in the grand scheme of it but I’ve won & lost enough games by .5 point over the years to get my attention

Evidently the oddsmakers read my post, because the total was 53 when I posted it.  It has since jumped 8 points to 61!  an_speechless

I still think this game flirts with 70 points, but geez, they sure sucked the value out of this play.

I attended both of Alabama spring practices, and I can tell you that a) Tua is the real deal (not Earth shattering news I know), and b) the defense is a bit shaky.  They are going to need some time to gel.  They were getting routinely scorched in the second scrimmage.  Even Jalen Hurts threw a couple of TDs!  an_eek2

This is the first time ever in the Saban era that Alabama has had a truly elite QB at their disposal.  It's hard for me to see many defenses even slowing them down.  I don't say that just because of Tua.  I say that because Tua + the ridiculous amount of talent around him is going to tough for anyone to deal with.  Expect a lot of big plays, and a lot of points.  The only fly in the ointment is Jalen Hurts.  If he garners a significant number of snaps, that may spell doom for OVER backers.

On the other side of the ball, Alabama is supremely talented of course, but from what I've seen, they may struggle a bit early in the season.  I expect Petrino to figure out a way to score in the 13-20 point range.  I look for something like a 52-17 type score.  I think Alabama covers, and pushes the total OVER.

Posting a weekly thread can be a lot of work, and many times I just don't have the time or inclination to do it.  I'll probably do a week 1 thread, but I kind of doubt I'll have one every week.  I always tell myself I'll do one weekly, but it never turns out that way.  Stay tuned I suppose.

Regardless, I hope you crush it this season!

I can’t say that I recommend Texas at that number- I think they cover it but of course I have much more value with my line- there are better games out there IMO! Good luck!

First post for me this year.  Glad to see you back as well as many others (Whaoo, Jimmy, etc).  

You kick behind last year and hope you stay on the roll.  I have only looked at Texas and did not pull the trigger.  So may try and catch something in live.

Good luck this season Blowout!  LSU will be interesting to watch this year.  The Miami game will certainly be interesting as well.   Miami has a pretty damn good D.  Will be anxious to see what the offense can muster up against the Canes.

I should have stayed away from that game but I couldn’t help myself- I am not sold on Orgeron, Ensmiger, or the offense. They have no experience at WR and don’t have the RB’s they usually have. Along with some injuries and suspensions, I just don’t see them winning. I like Burrow but it is going to take some time for the offense to gel in my opinion. Defensively they have tons of talent so I will probably take the under as well- I love Aranda and expect a 23-17 type victory for the Hurricanes. Good luck this year!!

I think LSU will surprise you this year offensively. Ensminger had a ton of success as the interim and will look to spread the ball around to a ridiculously talented group of receivers. I think our intermediate passing game will be consistent enough to open up the run (when was the last time you saw that for LSU?) because Burreaux throws receivers open better than Etling did and our playmakers will benefit from it. 

Defensively we should be a top 5 unit. With Devin White and Greedy (who gotnon the field last year because of Fulton’s suspension) we have two All Americans and Fulton is actually a better cover corner than Greedy. With Chaisson coming off the edge, the defense should wreak havoc on opposing teams passing game.
