I am offshore so I will make this short and sweet for now- Locked in Nebraska -20.5

Hard looks:

Stanford, Texas, BYU, Auburn, Cincy, Texas Tech, S Carolina, N Dame,and LSU

Looking forward to some great discussions once again! GL everyone!

Actually looking at BYU for the first H- I think Tate will get his by the end of the game- I can see a close first h with Zona pulling away big after half time.

I took Zona -13.5........I too think they pull away in the 2H........I just dont see that BYU offense keeping up in this one.

Strong lean: W. Virginia- I will be looking at their Team total over as well- I believe Grier will light it up again this year!

I like the Texas pick...I am warming up to Auburn...I think there may be some value there.   Good Luck!

I like Auburn and Stanford.....
And ill give an extra game I got my eye on... DUKE. Thats right Duke!! Army come in off the high of 10-win season still fresh in everyones mind. Will be popular underdog, but check coach cutcliffe record vs option teams and he generally does very well. Duke is a team that usually start the season strong and fade away down the stretch and with extra time to prepare for that option, I expect Duke will be ready. Army also has to replace best QB they had in a long time which is tough transition for any team. BOL blowout!!

Since 2013 vs option teams....
Duke 6-3 (2-1 vs Army)
Average points scored by Army in 3 games: 10 ppg
2 of those games army didnt reach 10 points and didnt score a td.... Last year Army won at home 21-16 but 2 games prior managed only 9 points combined.

Im leaning Devils here

Here's a piece of advice in blowoutgm's thread.  We don't care who you like.  We care who he likes.  Sorry to be so blunt but guys come in this thread to read his insight not yours.

Easy now. I welcome anybody that wants to discuss games in my threads. I always have and always will. I am just getting home from offshore and I look foward to giving more insight into my selections. My threads have been pretty much free of drama that so many others seem to invite- Lots of knowledgeable guys visit my threads and we can all learn from each other. I am getting excited to start capping some games and will be back on here with lots of insight.

Blowout you don't know me but I certainly admired your threads last year - one of great seasons all time of *any* capper to post on these boards.  Yourself, TD21, Wiseguy, Bookie, Nostra, MikeMed, TicoJoe, Wahoo ... others I know I'm forgetting = the best minds here.  Thanks for your picks and I look forward to your *reasoning* for your plays throughout the season - what made them a bet for you; your approach and a peak into how you cap.  This is by far the most valuable thing on this board for me - learning from the best at figuring out this crazy game we love and how to assess and recognize value and winners against the bookmaker.  Thank you for raising the IQ of the board here, and I mean that! :)

Thanks for the props- I have been here for some time and look foward to capping and discussing games each and every year- College football is my passion. I don't have any secrets when it comes to capping games- I just pay lots of attention to detail and I watch a lot of games- I do tons of reading and research and just have a good "feel" for certain matchups- I look forward to discussing games and hopefully helping everyone make some cash again this year. I think the Zips slip quit a bit this year. That being said, it will take Nebraska a little time to reach past glories. Nebraska returned many of the their top tacklers from a defense that was horrid last year. Frost also brought his DC from UCF with him so I expect Nebraska to be much better on that side of the ball this year. The Cornhuskers have some speed and some very good players at WR and RB. Frost runs a Chip Kelly type spread but he has made it much more difficult for defenses to key on with lots of pre snap movements and concepts(more pass options) that Kelly didn't use- along with the same killer tempo. I think the Zips may keep it respectable in the first half but I think Nebraska pulls away big time- I hate to bet a game when it has moved off of a key number like 21 but I expect the Huskers to win by at least 24. Good luck!

Meant no disrespect. Ive had chats with blowout about games in seasons past and value his (as well as others) insights.... But unlike some noobs in here, I also try to contribute instead of just tailing picks.... Dont expect everybody to understand that

Been viewing Covers for 20 years but thanks.  I'm just a guy that likes to view threads of men who have opinions I value and don't want to read picks from other guys in that particular thread.  If they want to post plays, they can create their own thread and post their plays.  Their bullshit plays clog up the thread and makes it longer to read.

Many other posters feel the same.

Mr. Blowout, have you happened to dig into Big Ten power house Penn State vs Appy State game yet? Just was curious with the line at Penn -23.5. Did Penn State lose some of they're talent??? Thank you sir!

I have looked at the game and I just don't feel comfortable playing either side of that contest. App. St. should still be a good team but they do replace their starting QB and opening the season at Penn St. could get ugly. I think there are too many unknowns to this Penn St. team as they lost some great talent but they should still be a contender this year. I think it could be close the 1st half with Penn St. pulling away in the 2nd half but I will not be playing this one. GL!
