I agree. So many things went against ohio st, both self inflicted and not. That was a catch and a fumble....he took 3 step with clear control of the ball.....they kept talking about "a football move".....well, if your being tackled and pushed back and struggling THAT IS A FOOTBALL MOVE....Really disappointed in Day. Pretty crappy coaching job, from clock management to play calling to the beyond stupid roughing the kicker.....

I didnt like that call either. But with that beig said... the better team DID win... Ohio st was up 16-0. Clemson out scored them 29-7 to finish that game.

Clemson capitalized when it mattered. Ohio st kicked FG's.

Ohio state would have scored more if fields was 100 percent.. some of the runs would have been extended.. those calls were terrible.. but it’s karma for that game in Tempe  years ago.. Miami won that.. I totally agree that Clemson is a different animal.. Oklahoma defense trash.. this will be a great game.. I’ll take the points and sprinkle ml.. not to take away from LSU that was an amazing performance..

While some look at stats , or how a team looked in their last game
To make a capping decision  , I tend to look at which team is most
capable at managing the " process " of the game , not matter what
the circumstance. I felt that Clemson and Brent Venables were more
capable than OSU in this matchup , and bet them accordingly.
I also referenced that in a previous post. Clemson was the best team
in the last 3 or 4 minutes of this game .... When it Counted the most.

That's what you want from any team that you wager on

Agree 100% ....


Day looked way over his head especially in the 2nd half ....Clemson made key adjustments , Buckeyes played scared.    
Can't wait to watch the Championship .....
Hoping the line keeps rising ...Would be all over Clemson +7

Looked like Day thought the game was over after the first quarter .....
Never made adjustments , why didn't he go for 2 ??????
Even my 8 old thought he was a bonehead ..

Maybe it was a bad call...maybe it wasn’t.  
Maybe it was a fumble ... maybe it wasn’t 
Maybe his forward progress was stopped if it was a catch - maybe not.

Either way Ohio State had a chance in the end and didn’t get it done.
Good entertaining game either way!
Both teams played hard!!

I appreciate Clemson but if LSU comes out like they did against the Sooners they will be very difficult to beat. I think a lot of the Clemson Tigers, very talented, fast, well coached. I don't know how LSU got so worked up but when that happens it almost delegates the opponent to look and become almost lethargic...Easier games to cap than this one.

LSU while formidable on Offense , and with an outstanding QB , is
somewhat vulnerable on defense when they face an above average
offense.

While very true, they shut down what was the #1 offense in college football yesterday (correct me if I’m wrong) but you are right. The Ole Miss QB at their lunch. Lawrence running worries me the most- that kid has some wheels. Etienne is great as well but it’s Lawrence and his running that worries me the most. LSU’s offense is better, Clemson’s defense is better....it should be a classic 37-34 type game

Blowout , I'm not criticizing yer Boys , Bud . I'm just mentioning a spot
that LSU is most vulnerable IMO . Mobile QB's and larger WR 's will
give them trouble, but they give Bama trouble as well. Ole Miss is a
good example as well. Hell , they let Vandy hang 38 on them as also.
Clemson will be the most challenging QB and Offense they face this
season. that also plays fundamentally sound defense as well.

I'm just bringing it up a cappers are trying to make wagering
decisions on this matchup as something to think about.

I agree with you - 100%. I was just pleasantly surprised that LSU held Oklahoma down the way they did- hopefully their defensive improvement can continue for one more game- Clemson definately has me worried

Yes- I had a pretty substantial amount on Clemson, then I jumped the gun and started live betting Ohio st- my guy sets limits on how much we can live bet- those 3 live bets basically canceled out my original Clemson play- when T Lawrence broke that run I felt confident the momentum had shifted and bet Clemson -2. Take it or leave it but that’s what I played- not smart on my part but it worked out in the end.

Buddy , I'm not a stat guy when it comes to capping , but I do look
at them to gauge how the public may percieve a team's capability.
True , LSU held OU to 322 yds. , but they allowed OU to score 28
points . That works out to a D.Y.P.P. of 11.5 which is not a good
stat. That would indicate to me that Alex Grinch's poor gameplan
and the OU defense were a large contributor to holding down the
OU offense. As I said above bettors who watched the game , fell
in love with LSU's offense , and rightfully so. Brent Venables is
much more adept in preparing a sound defensive game plan , than
Alex Grinch . I'm just saying that this game will be a much more
competative matchup than the LSU / OU game .
One more thing comparatively , Clemson held OSU to 516 yards ,
and allowed 23 points , which works out to a 22.4 D.Y.P.P.

I just thing it is something Bettors should consider.

As I said , I am not a stat guy . I will wager on which team I feel is
most capable of managing the process in this particular matchup
 ( see my post # 107 ) . I 'm not sure which team that is yet.
I'm still working on it Buddy, but this will be an outstanding
matchup, and a tough one to cap.
