BRIDGE PLAYS WEEK 1

love it my guy...might jump on the RAMS with you, catching north of 30...

I'm leaning towards CMU/OSU under 59 myself. I haven't decided if I want to play it or not. We would probably have to hope that CMU lives up to it's rep on offense and is able to move the chains, or else it could be a long night for them and the Pokes could get up in the 40's by themselves against a tired CMU D. Still pondering the play. Also leaning CMU +21.5 and hoping for a closer than expected game so I can hammer OSU next week against Arizona St.

Haven't really looked into UCLA or Utah much since .. think the GOY projector models were not giving Utes their just due .. SP+ latest has Utah at around -4 if I tack on a basic HFA for the Bruins .. another modeler says his model loves Utah and his puts it at Utes -14 .. that guy's model can produce more wild results / less accuracy and doesn't fit to what we're likely to see the bookies have on it like Bill C's tend to do ... but .. there's a reason I look at it ... 

Think the question is where is the line likely to end up and is it worth risking the money now with all sorts of things that could happen before then .. UCLA almost certainly showing up 5-0 if they can beat wash the week before Utes game .. Utes might be 4-1 after this week its very possible in my mind .. seen way too many 'good pac teams' lose to the sec in these openers .. Utah does seem a level up but its the swamp so .. if they lose that would keep the line from moving .. also utes have USC on deck, UCLA gets a bye and play prev game on friday so extra day to prep ... worse spot should weight the line from moving much more .. i don't think utes look ahead its a must win division roadie ... 

Save yer money dude the line moved -1 to -3.5 already its a decent move and maybe at best you end up w is sneaking in at -3.5 before think at best we see it -6.5 tough to lay a TD on the road .. If you think ucla is gunna look really problematic before then ok sure take it now .. but if you're that good of a fortune teller then there's prob better GOY's to look into than this one ... right? - Good luck bud

Haha yeah I couldn't resist had to double down at 31 ... could lose but I think its got a decent shot if the QB can stay mostly upright and they're not just totally wet paper on D .. Mich Offense does project really well I mean elite run game shouldn't be ding'ed too bad losing haskins and maybe even losing the OC think its fine .. kinda hit and miss pass last year but should be improved .. we'll see they could put a big giant number up there but Rams could also stay within 31 of a giant number .. really hope its not last drive michigan going for the cover I could see Harbaugh try to win the crowd who will obvi be cheering for one more bomb .. tough to imagine the Rams coaches be thinking about us or be able to help us much in that situation .. eek ..

Yeah i didn't post but hit OK.State TT Under 40.5 .. CMU secondary looks sketchy but idk if they're up big could see QB 2 or QB 3 Gunner Gundy come in for a few late laughs .. will def be thinking of an H2 under play if the mood strikes it def seems like were in for somewhat of a slug fest already .. good luck bud ..

VA.TECH @ OLD DOMINION +7.5

I already knocked it at 8.5 for half a Bridge Play and the line has since moved to 7.5 where I dropped another half on it.. idk what makes sense for record keeping but just gunna call this the BP and keep the 'Smaller' 8.5 play where its at if that makes sense to the folks who end up asking about stuff like that .. 

The important thing is this game did elevate for me I hit it 8.5 a month ago or so though the line would be maybe a TD by kickoff and we'd have some closing line value wallah and liked the idea of scrappy ODU hanging tough enough .. But now really think this is under a TD, not much has changed for me about ODU, one of the biggest improvers last year down the stretch and bring a hefty chunk of their team back and have multiple guys w experience at QB, RB, REC and TE .. top TE Kuntz at 6'8 is almost a sure thing Mackey finalist and maybe the only true mismatch either team has in this game .. 

Already though when I first bet this it was just a realllly crappy spot for VT on the road vs one of the little teams from VA that absolutely wants to tear their heads off and have done it in the past .. VT obvi wants to win but there's alot of stuff going on w the team from the total slide to meltdown over the past couple years, bringing in Pry and his team, new QB xfer in Wells who was really hit and miss and when he missed it was big and bad .. ODU also took Wells and Marshall into OT LY tied at 13 as like 3TD dogs .. VT w tons of tunrnover and questionable talent and experience vying for new positions which they have to sort out in this game with BC on deck .. ODU w ECU on deck but that's not the scalp they want by a long shot .. and as a sweetener I'd say Pry and Rickey Rhaine are loooong time friends and colleagues from Franklins staff at Vandy and Penn State so just unlikely if the situation came up where VT could kneel one out instead of tacking on insurance they'd both be okay w ending it that way, maybe help us out ..  

Well that's where I was at in my first bet nothing changed w it except Top RB Malachi Thomas is out for a few weeks RB by committee now.. VT's WR sitch has been on my radar for years as tons of guys xferred and now there's no Tayvion or a Tre Turner there's not even RBs like Blacksheer or Herbert to catch the ball.. Jayden Blue xfer from Temple is maybe their best bet and he got injured in camp, could play but he's listed as a backup so we'll see.. would say everyone else is looking for their breakout year .. even more disturbing is a soph walk on is backing up 2 WR spots. I guess he beat the entire backup unit. OL's were as Phil projected still breaking in 3 new, RS Fr backups not likely a great competition .. D is down Phil's starting DE and his backup s injured it sounds like they're trying out a few guys... secondary and LB's might be okay but what's coming back is nothing to write home about few sacks and a crappy run D last year needs to improve quickly .. on the flip side ODU was missing their backup RB .. a good #2 of their 1-2 punch from last year. Otherwise pretty clean depth chart at least compared to what Phil was projecting. 

Just way too many challenges in this game to feel good at all about VT's prospects, should be more talented at a few spots but idk tons of questions and holes to fill and try outs needed, etc etc and granted Pry may have a beat on what Rhain's gunna do but that's a 2 way street that I think helps RR more than BP .. Possible VT's fill ins just are much better and Wells does hit enough big plays and the D make ODU's offense struggle putting drives together .. But this is def going in at least one UDML this week and not talkin about cheapo lotto tickets ones im talking about a real bookie bunker buster .. - Good Luck .. GO MONARCHS!!!!

ODU seems like a terrible spot for VT .. fav dog of the week .. 

GA-St banking on them showing up for a big SEC'er like they have .. lot of that team still there that took Auburn to the wire and coach had em ready for Tenn opener in '19 ... not convinced S.Car is better than either of them ..

S.Fla gets BYU in the heat and the team actually looks ready to roll this year .. maybe a reason they left the line at 12 when it was 3.5 TD's last year albeit in Provo.

Army w the purest option game and think CC missing lotta guys top RB announced he's out so deduct that ret pro from 23% to 17.5% it just doesn't equate to beating even a less talented corps of Cadets ..

Boise depth chart looked spotless and team looks built and shouldn't have the run game issues they had early last year .. also Oreg State I don't think projects as strong w out thier Bad Azz RB Baylor ..

FSU is a BP and BP's at +3 gotta be in there .. will def be a hedge if we're 5-0 heading into that one .. after this weekend I hope to have the cash to actually make my hedge effective lol

W.VA @ PITT -7 - TIE

Easy to say good call by WV backers. Pitt w that home crowd just couldn't get their footing all night for a cover.. very brief chance late Q3 up 7 ... Pitt pass rush wasn't closing their pressures out w sacks, ESPN w 7 hurries 3 sacks I only remember 2 on last drive .. 10 PBUs some from the DL and daniels only 23/40 so they were effective but not a dagger .. Harrell dialing up some really timely run plays that slid right by that aggressive DL. Stud awards obvi go to Bryce Ford-Wheaton and RB CJ Donladson and WV OL.. WV DL really stout too run D solid and 5 SACKS, how they lose this game?? . Slovis 16/24 300 yds 1 TD when not running backward or on his ass .. Pitt run game was weak outside of goal line/short yardage situations.. seems like it shuda gone under but big plays and seemed like Pitt's D handed out a few drive extending penalties like w WV in their own end zone.. WV more of the false start variety .. Bub Means w the big fumble and dropped pass wins the 'why did they bring him to college?' award ..  

Going forward gotta like WV's offense vs weaker pass rush and D much better vs weaker downfield pass game KU and VT should check a few of those boxes for sure .. Can def see Pitt's pass rush feasting vs spottier OL's and QB's that just can't get the ball out as quick as Daniels did .. gotta see the run D and run O work .. not sure the vols are a great target .. plenty after that in conf ..

Handicap of the century right there lol .. Think my concern on C.Mich's secondary was realized .. not many DB's on the roster and ones they had were young inexperienced and now say small, slow and miss tackles everywhere .. Sanders for sure played well but if CMU is bagging 5 TFLs vs 14 RB runs then we'll see how long the sanders4heisman campaign can last vs pass d competition.. 

Pokes DL is loaded and just stuffin those runs 13 TFL's on 35 carries .. no prob penetrating .. but 2 sacks on 49 pass att's? .. good defense has the run going backward and Richardson goes 36/49 420 yds, are we sure it wasn't his heisman campaign that just kicked off?  .. even up 51-15 maybe playing soft coverage idk but isin't that when they knew to pass rush? ... Think we can conclude Chips are a no F around offense this year and whenever Nicholls is not up against one of CFB's top D-lines they are gunna be trouble... definitely a team that the Nitney's D needs to start scouting ASAP!!!

Think you'd say the DC gone and tons of guys in the back 8 .. i didn't really see much of H2 saw CMU RB's getting driven back into the end zone .. we know they got a good unit up front at least stuffin the run and held'em down better when they didn't just pass the ball .. yeah idk .. didn't get smacked around by anyone in '21 or even in '20 at least not like that and def not by a MAC attack, sounds like they got work to do or teams are def gunna try passing on them again lol ..

Thx dude yeah I mean week 1 I think its worh a roll the dice if we find an angle which I think all those do .. maybe toughest is GA.State since kinda need Rattler to play like Crappler, and maybe still get a little lucky .. could happen but did kinda look like all the Cocks that got ding'ed up in fall camp might be back, think Wake RB Robinson might still be out ... think that would actually help us .. but otherwise cocks had a pretty loaded depth chart .. ODU maybe less talented but really love the spot .. everyone else has an angle and wouldn't be a huge surprise if we look back at year end and say wrong team was favored including S.FLA .. also might not lol .. 

Did not include any teams where I figured vegas was a bit clueless most of those moved already like Tex State but got them in a couple ML's early at the big line, obvi wouldn't take it now .. took MTSU in a few too on the same 'clueless' basis .. that one's starting to move a bit now .. maybe temple and AZ are too I have them in one powerball jackpot but that's it for them .. 

Big bangers are so tough >14 points even week 1 vegas might miss on a couple because there's tons of them or if degens move the line .. they set SFLA/BYU under that mark and didn't touch it for a reason I think .. I did have CMU in a lotto ticket woulda been nice if they just came out passing the ball huh?!?!?! .. those 36 point leads aren't what they used to be in stillwater lol .. could imagine WKY playing sloppy and just blowing it, nearly did last week closed 31.5 vs AP lol .. 

Couple I like at FCS level .. got Iowa and UVA on the same chopping block .. when only one side of the ball is good you better hope it shows up every week ..

Only 2 FCS'ers on my radar pre-ssn, just gunna run w it and have fun .. trust me its not huge fun .. Could only find 1 SDSU +14 I'd have smaller fun at 13.5 but still have fun w it .. 

Rich has that VMI QB and WR Herres and were otherwise a playoff worthy scrappy bunch who should play better offense w those guys .. I trust that connection and UVA obvi has a good QB and gaggle of WR's but thats the only move .. I suspect poor run game and defense .. Think Rich can def hang within 3 TD's and maybe pull a shootout shocker .. 

SDSU gets their QB back from the spring champ game and have huuuuge OL TE's and just NFL potential talent in alot of spots .. and a RB who might have been the best of the bunch back when they had AA Pierre ... Iowa has a REAL WR issue and even if they have another guy like Chuck Sizzle on their corps, well .. you see how he gets more yards in one game at Purdue than 2 years at Iowa .. yeah think it matters not .. really looks like a slug fest that THE JACKS CAN WIN!!!!

 UCLA can win ten this year. Only likely losses to Utah, usc, and Oregon. If they are a good team then they just have to beat awash and get one upset vs those three.
