68-56

2-5 Bowls

Bowlers haven't been kind. My worst ever start in fact. Time to back down to smaller plays until I get my act together.

 

Tuesday:

WESTERN MICHIGAN +3

OVER 60

This is a tall number to get over for sure. But as I look into it I see that WM has surpassed this number by themselves in 2 of their last 3 games. I do realize that in those two games they were facing some weak defenses but Purdue will put up plenty as well here as WM gave up over an avg of 35 ppg in their last 4. WM has shown they can play with the Big 10 already as they only lost by 3 at Illinois and really played Michigan closer than the score indicates when you look inside the numbers. WM has coverd 8 of their last 11 overall and are thrilled to be here and should be able to get up and down the field at will against the Boilers defense that has given up an avg of over 35 ppg as well over their last 4.

I'm with you on the over. I love the play.

Opposite on the line though. I got Purdue. I think they win by a TD at least.

Bowl games are pretty new to WM....Both teams are saying they are thrillled to be here and they should be.....so motivation isn't a factor. I think Purdue has a edge in talent...

TREE i agree with you on the side. I'm gonna buy the half point on western michigan. Probably going with under on the game but that depends if the total number moves or not. Hang in there in the bowls Also TREE what are your thoughts on the Sooners? I'm the guy who put the turnover ratio stat thread up and Iowa has the better ratio. But I picked Oklahoma to play Alabama for the title. If you don't mind what are your thoughts on the game?

Hog we are probably on different sides tomorrow but that doesn't mean we can't get along What are your thoughts Hog on the Razorbacks game with Kansas State. I lean K-State BOL

Tree, Like The Total over also and will be playing it shortly,  WMU gave up  800 yards to Toledo, and 494 Rushing Yards to Northern Illinois.

 In a dome , no weather issue,  cant see this staying under.  I cant seem to figure out the game though  BOL

They may be thrilled to make a Bowl game but I  don't see how Purdue can be thrilled to play a MAC opponent. As far as Purdue having the edge in talent....I couldn't find it.

Thats the problem with OU. Tremendous disappointment among those players and staff. They have the Huge edge in talent but they are not going to be into that game. This team was picked by many to compete for a NC and now they are playing in the Insight Bowl? Very hard to cap but at the moment I lean Hawkeyes. Stoops has his work cut out to get this team ready.

Hogs will take KState to the shed....if we can take care of their QB.

They play that weak soft zone on defense and that'll give Arkansas crossing routes tons of room

Who is Purdue to look down upon any team?? I don't see them overlooking or being sad they are playing a MAC team.

WM has no run D whatsoever....Remember this name. Ralph Bolden. He will run wild tomorrow

Purdue has lost to plenty of MAC teams... They should not overlook WMU!!!! I think they will be ready to play and win.

Carder is an NFL talent. Purdue has found an offense recently. Like the Over. Purdue having top RB and WR out hurts their chances of winning this game.
