Eastern Washington +5.5 @ Idaho (1 unit) In reality, EWU is better than 20-30 "FBS" teams and is one of about a dozen with a legitimate chance to win the FCS championship this season. Padron is a big-time QB who put up tremendous numbers for SMU two seasons ago before a mysterious falling out with June Jones in the season opener against A & M last year. There's a bunch of shit swirling in Moscow today as several rumors have leaked suggesting QB Dominique Blackman will not start after taking all of the first-team reps throughout training camp and the preseason. His backup, Logan Bushnell, is a converted WR who has never taken a college snap. It's a strange situation as the coaching staff insists Blackman is the starter despite a report in the student newspaper that he was being benched for unknown reasons. Whatever the case, the Vandals' offense didn't look strong even before this new uncertainty under center and will face one of the most experienced secondaries at the FCS level. The Kibbie Dome doesn't offer much of an advantage and EWU will bring a sizable contingent (1.5 hours away).

Thought about it but the best I can find is a somewhat disappointing +180. Considering the game really only came onto my radar yesterday I'll stick with the one unit side play.

Evening and best of luck as always. I read your quote about Minny at night in the enviorment they are in and agree. Also it will take some time for there team both offensively and defensively before they are competitive in there league if ever. Tonite I played UNLV getting 9- and also played the over as 2 young teams with not alot of defense. I think Kill is a good coach and defensively minded but tonite they will give up some points in that enviorment. Any thoughts would be appreciated as always.

Good to hear from you, bud. Minny lost its primary target in McKnight but should be at least halfway decent offensively if Gray makes the senior leap many expect from him. UNLV's depth on defense is shoddy and could be in trouble if Minny plays with tempo, something they did not do with much frequency last season. Both teams are going to move the ball - I think your total comes down to them finishing drives and not turning it over. Also notable that the Gophers are playing at altitude (approx. 2000 feet), something they have not done in quite awhile. Pretty sure you're on the right side and certainly hope the Rebs produce close to a majority of those points.

Thanks for the info always appreciate it. This Washington State Byu game has my interest I see you played over and got a great number as it is now 66. With that in mind both teams you would think are going to score can Washington State cover 11-.

Stickin it out. Wazzu did move the ball on a few possessions but couldn't finish the drives. I don't anticipate the WSU defense being able to stop BYU on the ground.

I think you had a chance for the over but the 2 holding calls killed it for sure and BYU not conferting 2 red zone attempts. All said BYU is well coached and a very good team Wazzu needs a few games before I look at them again. I hope UNLV covers and its going to be a long year for both these teams wow. Congrats on the Eastern Wash. game excellent win there. Tommorow is another day.

Yeah probably should have been a few more TD's but oh well. If UNLV holds on for the upset I'll be taking a long, hard look at Wazzu next week in Vegas. Kicking myself for eschewing the Eastern Washington money line...
Also, based on tonight's results, taking looks at Central Michigan, Air Force, and Nebraska.

Passing on nOVA/Temple. I'll be at the game with a bunch of Temple kids and equally despise both schools. Three TD's looks like a lot on paper but the Vilecats are banged up with two of the top three receivers, starting center, and the primary scatback all out of the lineup for the foreseeable future. The Montel Harris/Matt Brown duo probably rolls up close to 300 yards on the ground. Florida Atlantic laying over two TD's even against a middling FCS team has me intrigued. The Owls lost their only respectable offensive threat from last season in Alfred Morris, and as one of the articles below details, the QB situation is a mess. The biggest problem for Wagner is a major speed disadvantage, but FAU has trips to Tuscaloosa and Athens on-tap in the next few weeks and the Pelini hire has not generated the expected buzz with only 4800 season tickets sold. Worth a further look.

I'll probably take a shot on the Cats at +24 or higher...
Because I'm dying a slow death here in Civil Procedure class, here's some I'll be taking a look at for next week (with projected numbers)... Air Force +19.5 @ Michigan NC State @ UCONN +7.5 (only if NC State beats Tenn) New Hampshire +18 @ Minnesota Purdue +11 @ Notre Dame Michigan St @ Central Michigan +17.5 Washington @ LSU -20 Idaho +11.5 @ Bowling Green Nebraska -3.5 @ UCLA Northern Arizona +(??) @ UNLV

You are brilliant JFen, capping while in class! LOL! USC rolls tomorrow, my contribution to your college fund. Only at the half. Hawaii starts 12 first timers. It may get ugly. Matt kicks off his Heisman campaign in style, coach Chow era gets off badly. IMO!

Agreed Shadow, but too many points for me to make any sort of play. Good luck to you though, hope it hits!

Ideally, two winning wagers come out of this game. As the article below discusses, NC State has, for a lack of a better term, become obsessed with beating Tennessee. The UT helmet has been displayed in the weight room all summer as a constant reminder and both the players and coaching staff are treating the game as a super bowl of sorts. If the Pack emerges with a win, I'll be fading them on September 8th in Storrs against UCONN.
Means nothing - just how vandy lost their superbowl last night - Ut has a much better team and will win....
