He was great in 2012. Terrible last year. Like anyone, he is hot and cold. Notice he picks high profile games...for fans like you. I notice you didn't tout his ncaa record this week. 4-5.
Regression to the mean. Simple statistics.

guys - i like Herd - but he has the Covers-like ability of shading the lines in his favor which over a full season of tons of plays makes a difference when you start quoting win%....don't assume -110 at an actual available line - do your homework

Jedi,I was unable to locate last year's record,but I know he was 60% 2012.
War - I followed him only thru the first half and he did terrible last year (2013); don't know what the actual record and/or win% was, but it was below 50% I think.
He always has stated that 2012 was a great year but totally out of the "norm".....plus, he says he won't place a bet because he doesn't like to lose $, but I'm pretty sure he has to have gambled before....he does live in Vegas.
4-1 again this week.....need to follow his plays when it tends to match up with the RJ Bell "wiseguys" picks. The best part of the show is they actually discuss the game and give you reasons why they are picking the side (unlike some of these "so-called touts" here on Covers).
I like to read and hear why one side may be better than the other, whether it be history, trends, matchups, strengths/weaknesses, etc. Helps to handicap the game....take this weekend's Phil Steele Power Sweep 5* (Louisville).....on paper they were supposed to dominate Wake Forest, but loss ATS due to turnovers and penalties, stuff that you can research whether or not the team is disciplined and plays error-free.
Anyway, GL this coming week!
