Like the idea, at least consolidates info and may draw more ideas. Please include Hammer in there, love the way the guy thinks. And no, I'm not hammer

I didn't think this would be about picks, but rather a top 10 or top 25 from each.  Nothing more than a mock panel to see how Covers would determine the top 4 and in which order.

The panel should consist of 7 to 13 members voted on by this thread.

if it could somehow be a private posting thread where only select members could post I would stop by - but its way too obvious that this thread will be huge and 70% of it will be nonsense from the trolls that you're trying to get away from.

I think this is a great idea as long as boom boom is not a part of any thread and keeps to himself.  I mean that in the nicest way possible.

Yet in his opening posts, he lists the top ten things that is wrong with this site... which include basically calling everyone in here immature morons, who have no football insight, no knowledge of the game or how to wager....and then goes on to basically compare himself to the " ESPN panel of experts"   I mean, you cant make this stuff up.... Well thank god that Boom is here to save us all...    What an egotistical POS

If someone knows and could reach out to WahooS and bring him back for this, that would be great; he knew his stuff.  I think one of the reasons he left were all the reasons Boom mentioned in his opening post.  

Also, perhaps when the "panel" is selected, the mods could restrict the posting to only the members on the panel.  This way there is no "noise" and we can just read what the members of the panel have to say with no trolls.

The haters will kill this one before it gets started. It's amazing how the words of an anonymous poster on a sports gambling site can rile up someone else to the point that they want to spoil something that might benefit some of the less experienced or less successful cappers on this site. If you're not picked for this "expert panel", don't take it personally. I don't post picks but have probably spent more time gambling that 99% of the people that post here but, because I don't have a record of success with the forum, why would I expect anyone to want to read my opinion? If you don't like the idea in general or have a hard-on for the guy who originated the thread, just stay away. It doesn't get much simpler than that.

Food for thought, saw a poster couple of days ago who was posting inappropriate things. I sent word to forum monitors for them to take a look at what he was posting and they removed./banned him from the forum.

If we cant eform them, we might be able to remove them.

As much as I agree with the 10 things and the general problems that make this forum suck... you have basically proposed an idea where you have elected yourself the leader of the "cool kids" group... an idea which is going to instigate all of that ugliness you want to get away from...

I like this idea but the only downside I see are people trolling the thread, jealously towards not being picked in the panel by some forum members, and the #1 issue I see if there is a consensus pick made by everyone in the panel and it loses the trolls will be coming out of the wood work with messages like, "You idiots suck I lost my entire bank account, you couldn't pick your noses".

I also hope this wouldn't create groupthink within the panel. I like people having dissenting opinions on games at times because it gets me to think about an angle I might not have originally thought of while evaluating a game.

I really hope this happens either way. I think it might be a good way to share info and thoughts on games. I love the guys here who really contribute and post their free picks to the forum's benefit. Just hope everyone is prepared for the haters and trolls and realize what they are getting into.
