I have said on many times in recent years I think this forum is heading in the wrong direction. It seems that the forum is this in a nutshell.............
1) Guys giving picks 2) Trolls 3) Haters showing up after one loses a game 4) No real college football insight 5) Arguments 6) Pure ignorance 7) Immaturity 8) C_ock measuring contests 9) Internet bullies 10) Lack of direction and gambling knowledge
Well.... I say we get away from those 10 things I just mentioned
This is what im proposing we do..... ESPN forms a college football panel of experts. Let's form our own College football panel.
How many people should be on it? 5? 10?
Each week for the rest of the season the " expert panel " will list there 5 best plays and talk among each other in that thread for the benefit of the forum. Each panel member will discuss all the games with each other. This will basically give the forum some notes on what games they think will help them.
I think it's time we do something a little productive around here instead of the same old garbage.
I will head the panel and start the threads each week. I will go ahead and nominate a few members that I think will absolutely bring solid college football knowledge to this panel.
Train ( of course )
Bookie ( IMO, a great college football mind )
Jimmy ( If he has time, I know he stays busy )
Go ahead and nominate anyone you think that will be a great asset. Anyone and everyone is optional, I'm open to any nominations. After I think we have a good idea of who will be on the panel, I will start the new thread each week.
( I will list my 5 best plays after we form the panel )

Very interesting and thank you for your efforts in this project. My sentiments are the haters and trolls will destroy the thread unless there is a way you can moderate it yourselves. I also think you will get an endless number of posts of what do you think of this game, or this parlay, that will be interrupting the discussion taking place.
To ya Boom_Boom!
SNITCHES end up being bitches, or end up with stitches, and in ditches! #REALITY

Someone who "really" knows how to handicap is not going to share what he has learned on a public forum. It has simply taken too many years and involved far too much effort to simply give away the "Keys To The Kingdom". There may be a few who know precisely what I'm talking about. Those who don't will be scratching their heads for a long, long time. Yeah, it's puzzling. Yeah, it's a riddle and yeah, it can be solved. Good luck.

Also, I dont know if we can swing it, but it would be nice to have a covers lineman as one of the member to ensure the thread is viewed daily and trolls are dealt with swiftly.

Popularity contest? Possibly, however you gotta build you're reputation on here before you can "eat with the big dogs" so it speak. Consistency should be a primal factor, IMO, for the people being named on here.

All these names that i see guys trowing out there, it just seems like a popularity contest.
That is what the BCS was all about, consolidating the big names and leaving the little guys out, BS.
You are somewhat right. It is going to be the people that regularly post their picks and give great insight to the games. It is not going to be the random poster (myself) who rarely or never posts their picks and usually lurks.
If you do not like it, simply stay out. The goal is just to have an educated and mature discussion.
