According to my numbers, the Longhorns are the play. Public perception is that Texas will disband the team! I think the Longhorns likely win straight up

I think this is an over reaction to Texas' near upset of Cal. Remember, Cal had a comfortable three TD lead going into the 4th quarter. I NEVER bet on a Texas game because I'm so emotionally involved having gone to school there but, business is business, and I might just have to lay the 3 points. I don't see how Texas keeps this one close.

Stats without proper context are practically useless.
Without factoring in the opponents' SOS, and considering the small sample size, those statistics are not instructive in capping the game.
Nothing "trappy" about the line either. Vegas recognizes that Texas still has considerable talent. Heard is a major upgrade at QB and OK State hasn't been tested.
Solid line. If you like OK State, play it now in order to get in at less than a field goal.

Texas has improved since they took Swoopes out. You're probably thinking of that team run by Swoopes. They're only going to get better with a competent QB as they showed last week. Notre Dame made 'em look really bad in 1st wk. It turns out that Notre Dame is just really good. I know someone who lost a few thousand on Cal last wk (brutal). It's a no play for me.

agreed while it is early for stats, the Horns just suck and there is no way around that fact

Texas will not even be thinking about the TCU game where they will be 20+ point dogs on the road. They need to get wins when they can and this is one of those games.
