What if the team is wearing stripes or polka dots, who do we take then. Maybe it is because the villians always wear black and nice guys finish last. Maybe certain colors win certain days of the week. I don't know how to give a college team an astrology sign, if I could I'd be rich.

Yeah it's a trend, but it's a coincidental one. Does anyone really think the color of the jerseys has anything to do with who wins these games?

Left off on FSU at 15-7-1, last year. Too busy to track on this thread at the time.

So, here is the update and how the bowls finished out.

Northwestern - dark shirts - covered. 16-7-1.

Penn state - dark shirts - did not cover. 16-8-1.

Michigan st. - dark shirts - did not cover. 16-9-1.

Michigan - dark shirts - did not cover. 16-10 -1.

TCU - dark shirts - did not cover. 16-11-1.

Oklahoma - dark shirts - covered. 17-11-1.

Stanford - dark shirts - covered. 18-11-1.

Miami of Ohio - dark shirts - covered. 19-11-1.

Texas A&M - dark shirts - did not cover. 19-12-1. 

Kentucky - dark shirts - did not cover. 19-13-1.

Boston College - dark shirts - covered. 20-13-1.

Auburn - dark shirts - covered. 21-14-1.

Results

22-10-2 in 2009-2010 Bowl Season...67%

21-14-1 in 2010-2011 Bowl Season...60%

I am not sure but maybe if you go into each bowls website you can get the info for this year...

This is what I got when I goggled "What color jerseys will each team wear during the bowl games"

Lord help me.  So much for trying to build up some credibility on this website.

The only game Saturday I've been working on is Utah St./Ohio, leaning hard to the Aggies.  So I e-mailed someone from the famous Idaho Potato Bowl:

A really interesting stat. Hey it may sound silly but if you win they cash the ticket either way They won't pay you less because you bet on a team with a dark jersey

Yes, I have taken a lot of heat for continuing the original posters thread last year. 

Yes, it is silly, but it is kind of interesting to.

I must say it has picked more winners then I have over the past 2 years.

I actually am going to take it account this year, as I cap the games.

I think it can be used as another angle to add to anyone's list of methods that they use to cap a game.

I just wonder if there is people out there that just strictly use this method to make their picks with?
