I really wanted to side with the Terps here. I think I may just play the Terps team total over

We have run a no huddle in the past in certain situations but do not run it throughout the entire game. I have bee listening to Mcneill's daily segment on Pirate radio and he has said nothing to indicate a full frontal no huddle offense attack. I think the safest play is a 1H over. We have consistently blown leads and can't score in the 2H which may affect the over/ under. But again I will not be betting this game, just providing the best information to those who are.

I am (obviously) a homer, too.  I am having a hard time figuring this game out.  The Terps' coach getting fired is the one intangible that scares the hell out of me.  I think Maryland was disrespected by being invited to this bowl.  So much so, that they WOULD NOT have gotten up for this one.  However, Friedgen's going away present could be a blow out.  Over?

Sorry for re-hashing everything that has already been said.  I will have a minimum amount on ECU (+7.5) just for fun.  However, betting with your heart is the surest path to the poor house.

Where is LuDawg when we need him?

Your good man, a fellow Pirates opinion is always welcome in my threads. I have no side what so ever, just cheering for ECU to win! The 1H does intrigue me though. What is your opinion of 1H over? Concerning LuDawg, his where-a-bouts are unclear.

I also think teasing ECU + the points and over is a good bet as well. But not a fan of teasers in the least.

It looks like the 1st half over will be around 34.  Tough call.  ECU on the road has had first half tallies of 62, 45, 42, and 37 in their last 4 road games.  They were playing some high scoring teams though: Rice, UAB, UCF, USM.  If we consider Maryland as being at home, their last 4 home 1st half numbers were: 31, 26, 34, and 16.  That's against some tougher (IMO) ACC competition.  I only went back 4 games because I'm lazy.  It's not worth the gamble brother.  The line looks about right.

Stick with the teaser.  The only lock here is that I will be highly intoxicated by halftime tomorrow afternoon!

Yeah this ECU game is going to be a no play for me. I almost talked myself into played the 1H over but my better judgement decided against it. That means I'm trashing that teaser too. That doesn't mean others shouldn't pick it up though. I think it looks promising. I'm right with you tomorrow though, I'm starting drinking around 11-12, probably have some beer in my corn flakes, shots come out at 2 then going back to the hops for the rest of the afternoon. Let's go Pirates!!!!! Cheers

Hell yeah I hear that. You in Jacksonville, NC or FL? I'm actually in FL visiting my parents right now that's why I ask. That avatar is sick as shit BTW. My card tonight stands at NCSU moneyline and Mizzou -3. Kind of disappointed I didn't get them at -2.5 but I feel the worst that can come of this line is a push. What are you on tonight?

betting on maryland tonight but I have grown to respect the enthusiasm of the ECU fan base. Wish you guys luck in the future, hope you can get a defense that compliments your exciting offense. Teams that lose their head coach (Northern Illinois for example), aren't at a disadvantage the next game, they ususally play their hearts out

Thanks for the ECU shout out! I don't think our defense will show any immediate performance tomorrow. But you can be damn sure our offense is going to be firing on all cylinders. I agree with you completely about teams playing their hearts out when losing their head coach. BOL on your plays

Much respect, Lordzud.  If anything, we are realists.  I think I speak for all ECU fans when I say that I am disappointed that the Big East hasn't come calling yet.

John:  I work in J'ville, NC.  Live in New Bern/Havelock.  Take a guess at the profession!  LOL.

I took the Pack at +3 and Mizzou at -2.5.  Felt frisky with Philly at -14.

ECUhomer, IMO Villanova has to get picked up by the Big East first. They will also want to see how Ruffin does in his first couple of seasons before the invite to see if he is consistent. I fly in and out of New Bern all the time. I prefer their dinky little airport over PGV. I'm not familiar with the economy down that way except that New Bern has recently been renovated to appeal to more tourists so I don't know what to think of your profession LOL. When I do have time I always like to stop at Persimmons and eat there. Nice place Yeah the Philly line was a bit too pricey for me as well. Atleast we have similar cards.

Totally understand on the Nova angle.  Maybe if Skip was still around, ECU would have been a good fit.

EWN is definitely the best airport around.  It saves time with the 2+ hour drive to RDU.

Finally, my parents live in Bonita Springs.  Where are you at in FL?

Fuck Skip, he was a great stepping stone for the program and I appreciate his work. We have always recruited well from the surrounding high schools, especially Rose even before his tenure. I'm very excited to see what the future holds with Mcneill at the reigns. He's and ECU grad and fully expect him to be here for the long haul. Yeah I like RDU as well, PGV is just too damn small, feel like I'm in a cracker jack box when I fly out of there. Bonita Springs is on the Gulf if I remember correctly... But I'm in Jax, FL for the holidays with my parents but live in Greenville, NC. PIRATES! Don't sweat posting replies to others on my thread, I could care less. What's a forum for if not for the opennes of information. Just can't stand bashers and criticizers. If one doesn't have something nice to say keep it to yourself, that's how I feel. My state moneyline is looking damn good, but damn do I hate rooting for the Pack.

Those two look good TRAIN, but may I suggest the 1H over instead of the entire game if that line is available to you. ECU seems to always struggle holding a lead or scoring after half time. And yes I agree with you that Davis is indeed the better QB. I cannot believe he was not voted C-USA first time, shit pisses me off. Even though Maryland has a ton of off the field distractions, I think player motivation on both sides of the ball will play a huge factor in this game.

Thanks for stopping by TRAIN, I try to always look at your plays whenever you post. My largest of 2 plays today is on your Tigers -3. Kind of disappointed I didn't get it at -2.5 but don't think it will matter much. I think that Mizzou is the far superior team and Iowa will truly miss their best RB and WR who are suspended for this game. This is too much to put on Stanzi's shoulders.
