The only logical conclusion is that this game really, really, really doesn't matter. So what should they do? I say turn it into a spectacle of epic proportions. Make it a game that people will be talking about 50 years from now.

Struggled to win? They won by Double digts with a 3rd string , Frosh QB who never started a game before and did not allow a TD all game. Allowed -23 4th quarter yards. I do not think FSU was the team struggling.

There is no way they are going to chuck the 2-3 million dollar payday for the college.
Not sure if this is still the case, but it used to be that every conference member split the the bowl money. So they would be screwing the conference as well as their own program.

The point is who cares? The committee, nor you, or anyone can predict how FSU would look with a month to prepare for the playoff games. It is not the job for the committee to cap future games. Should Michigan be pulled out of the playoff because they lost their best O lineman 2 weeks ago and have not looked good since??? Why is that injury not considered by the committee? You know Michigan just is not the same team or offense without OL Zak Zinter. Should not be in the playoff I guess right?
