Crap Rees has showed up and is lighting up Air Force. 21-10 Irish
I'll do the write-up here so i won't have to on Saturday but i will have a max bet on Air Force Saturday no matter the line. I'll get to the write-up.
I thought when i 1st saw this game would be played i said Air Force would beat ND. So since i've said that multiple times i'll put my money where my mouth is. I thought this even when most thought Golson would be the ND qb. I just hate this spot for Notre Dame
ND coming off a 14-10 win over USC. Rees hurt his neck he may play he may not its probably better for ND if Rees doesn't play. Air Force i will say has been a disappointment being 1-6 on the year. If Air Force loses this game they won't go to a bowl. It's been a bad year and half for Calhoun and Air Force and this game maybe the biggest game he's ever coached. This is a desparate Air Force team who has 16 days to get ready for this game
Honestly guys do you think Notre Dame will be ready for this game? They are coming off a rivalry game vs USC. You go from playing USC,at night at 7:30 on NBC to flying to Colorado Springs to take on Air Force at 5pm on CBS Sports Network? Do you smell a letdown? Hell ND doesn't even want to be at the Academy to play the game because in the offseason they tried to force Air Force to move the game to Denver and Air Force threatened to cancel the game.
I also heard an interview in the offseason where someone interviewed Notre Dame AD Jack Swarbrick and someone asked him about moving into the ACC. He said the same thing we always hear about that but he made an interesting comment he said "Even if Notre Dame joins a league there are 3 football games we'll never give up and they're USC,Stanford and Navy" After buying the Marc Lawrence magazine i did research on what Swarbrick said and i found something interesting
Now i went back over the last 10 seasons to find how ND did after they played USC,Stanford or Navy. The only games i didn't count were ND played USC then the next game was Navy you get what i mean. Over the last 10 years Notre Dame after playing USC Stanford or Navy is 8-17 ATS
Now i know some of you will say"packers thats 10 years most of that was Willingham and Weis as HC and hell since kelly became the HC they're much better in that category" And technically you'd be wrong. Since Brian Kelly became the HC ND after playing USC,Stanford or Navy is 2-6 ATS. And in the last 2 years Kelly is 0-5 ATS after playing USC,Stanford or Navy
So after ND plays the schools they feel are rivals you see a drop off in the next game. Hey Notre Dame should never loss to a service academy ever. But hey its happened before and i think it'll happen again. And if i'm wrong i'll be here to own up to it. I've beenw rong before i'll be wrong again. But you have a ND team that doesn't want to be there plus a desparate Air Force team that needs a HUGE win to save the season. Call me crazy but i like Air Force to pull the upset
Air Force 28-24
BOL guys your thoughts are welcome
