franklin and petrino is like comparing apples and oranges.

one leaves one program for a better opp at another, while petrino has an affair with a woman and gets caught because he was joyriding drunk on a motorcycle with her (and petrino is hated by just about everyone who played for him in the nfl.)

All On the Mound does is run his mouth. Shouldn't he be in the penalty box.Great write up.I like the Army hire, but IMO they are a couple of years away from beating Navy who has maybe the most underrated coach in CFB...We don't know the whole Petrino story...maybe the wife was screwing around, maybe he wasn't getting Any at home.The fact is like him or not he is not a good coach he is a great coach
Look for Louisville to win ASAP.I'm pulling for Strong..I will leave it at that.My gut feeling tells me Franklin will be sad in Happy Valley...Dream job?that's funny BC it seemed like he had his name out for every job available.Can't say I blame h after going to that dogshz bham bowl.Packers,u know I got much respect,but trust me Legion Field has ZERO to do with UAB s program going anywhere.I totally agree w your assessment of Peterson getting out and why would Hayden want to get out of Carroll family.I can tell u Auburn ppl are thrilled that Goldie Lox Kiffin is at Bama..Just curious is Penn st Franklin a white or black guy?Otm,Packers might be the nicest gentleman on this site.I'm sure it pisses u off that he is a third of ur age and knows 5 times more than u do about CFB &Cbb.In fact he is one of the best cbb cappers on this site...also knows small schools as good as anybody.

   Haven't followed us baskets this year...I've about broke even winning a little.Not enough for the effort,but got a good feeling conf tourneys,NIT & Big Dance will be good for as it usually is.NBA profitable, but nothing great.Packers,I know u arent challenging me In SEC football.Have u seen the talent coming in @ College Station?Sumlin is a good coach...I do realize Gamecocks have been 11-2 last 3 seasons.Still don't know how that sorry Tenn team beat them.Look for Ga and LSU to both be better.Thank you Saban for hiring Kiffin..hey,even Saban makes mistakes.I think this Auburn offense has a chance to be best in school history

Meant to say haven't followed your baskets Packers this yr...seems like u play 4 games a week,but I've seen u do good in past.U know Auburn's biggest problem in its football history or at least since 1978 when I started following them is when they are picked high they flop
..ie 84,85,90,95,03 just off the top of my head.Next to Sean Payton of Saints I think Auburn has playcaller on planet.Trust me when I tell u this there won't be a drop off at Rb and Qb play will be SENSATIONAL

great stuff packers...you are really making a big contribution here.   this is good stuff to get ready for the season.   I especially like the write up on the UCONN coach, because I am looking very closely to back BYU against UCONN in week 1.     I need to get my butt in gear and make some contributions.   keep the info flowing!   Hook em Horns!

It kills me when folks talk about character as they stay glued to a tv hours being a degenerat gambler.Quit trying to act.like Boom w double up..been on this site longer than a lot..U don't know if Petrino s wife was popping everybody in town and he absolutely paid for his mistakes.He ll win right away at Louisville.I am too pull for Strong and can't believe that Texas booster said those foolish things especially when Strong as as good as a resume as anyone.Good for Texas on that hire..Still think Mich is the most overrated program in all of college sports & Bo Schembechler never WON anything..U ain't Boom dude so never mind.

  *lucky as hell to have this good of a job so soon....I thought he would be an OC for a few years (maybe NFL)....good for both teams as he is (much) better than Strong....and Strong will be better than Mack (1st few years anyway)
 
BTW....the actual story of the GF / motorcycle wreck according to Hog insiders is this....
     her BF caught 'em together at a cabin and beat the crap outta Petrino....who then hauled a-s-s > BF chased him (GF in his truck) > ran him off the road  > dropped GF off / politely said goodbye ha....
Petrino called his DPS buddy......who fixed things....
  *I wondered why the chick wasn't hurt (supposedly on the bike with him)......this is supposed to be common knowledge among Hog fans...I just heard it a few weeks ago

beyond the sensationalized TMZ angle....

there is ZERO actual reason to believe James Franklin is a bad guy
  *he and his wife called the (alleged) victim within a few days and told her they were praying for her....
   note: this is the LAST thing the attorneys representing the players
            would want ...(implies guilt)
             the DA's office in Nashville said he was MORE than
             helpful with their investigation and in no way protected
             the players

  *SO.....he looks for hot chicks to entertain recruits?.....the only schools that don't do this are short on hot chicks.... or... are perennial losers
