if usc and a team from the SEC and Big 12 go undefeated who should be left out?

im not sure who should get left out, but i do have to admit usc schedule isnt that tough.

big 12 probably. although i think it should be USC

it would help usc tremendously if they had a conference championship game they could play in and dominate against another weak pac-10 opponent. it would look good to the voters. big 12 is a much stronger conference than the pac-10, so usc should definitely be left out. one thing is for sure....if someone in the sec goes undefeated there is no way in hell they should be left out. i think there should be at least a discussion of a 1 loss sec team getting in over an undefeated usc if that team wins the sec.

yea it should be a rule if your undefeated or have 1 loss and win the SEC you should get an automatic berth in the bcs title game

There is no doubt that the Big 12 will get the shaft on this one... If USC and 1 team each from the Big 12 and SEC go undefeated, we should have a Big 12 vs. SEC national championship. Thats how it should work, but unfortunately the BCS has some weird fetish for Pete Carroll and his Trojans

Trojans will beat any team  from the SEC or big 12.  No body would have beat Oregon last year if Dixon didn't get hurt.  Top to bottom it isn't as good as the SEC and thats obvious but there is no question that SC is the best in the nation.

I think that no one in the SEC will go undefeated, however if they do, due to the quality of opponents, they should definitely go.  Or, as mentioned above, only have one loss they should go.  USC is a fine team, they should go undefeated this year.  However, they don't play nearly as hard a schedule as the Big 12 or the SEC nor have a championship game.  I vote for them to be left out although it will probably be the Big 12 winner.  Too many people LOVE USC that influence the decision.  Just like SO MANY fawned on Notre Dame back in the time they would have 3 losses and still finish in the top ten and get a big bowl game.  As long as USC does not mess up and lose a game like they did the two previous years they will be in the BCS.  I am pulling for a Big 12 versus SEC matchup.  I don't think that any SEC team will go with two losses again this year.

Oklahoma looks downright scary right now I dont know if even USC would be that big of a fave against them...If Oklahoma & SC both run the table I would have to say both of those teams would get the nod.  That being said I dont think that the winner of the SEC is going to go undefeated...it is just too tough of a conference. Just another reason why a small college playoff is needed. USC also has another factor working in their favor...while the Big 12 & SEC winner both have to play conf. championship games, USC can just sit back and watch to see if either of those 2 conf. championship games take out a potential national championship contender. I dont think it's right that certain conferences have to play championship games and ones like the Pac 10 and Big 10 can just sit back and watch. Either every BCS conf. should have a champ. game or none of them should. This just gives the Big 10 and Pac 10 an easier road to the BCS title game, like they can make it any easier for them.

It should be who performs best in regards to their own schedule.. If USC wins every game by 50.. and Georgia wins 3 games in double OT then USC should go to the NC game b/c they played the ohio states and a decent conference in the pac-10.. if everything else is equal then USC should be left out

All I'm Saying is if USC was a member of the SEC we wouldnt be having this conversation because they wouldn't be a dominant powerhouse once they got placed into a decent conference, the Pac 10 is one step shy of the WAC

USC is heavily favored by the voters every year..  even though I'm a big USC fan, I feel that USC should get snubbed if either GA/FLA, and OKLA go undefeated along with USC..

the SEC team should automatically go in if they finish undefeated.. and most people would agree with me on that one.. and then we look at OKLA and USC's schedules

USC plays 5 teams that were in the top 25 in the preseason (Cal, OSU, Oregon, UCLA, and ARST) only OSU was in the top 10 and they dont look like a top 20 team anymore.. the other 4 are not even in the top 25 as we speak..

OKLA plays 4 top 25 teams in their schedule( TCU, TX, Kansas and TX TECH) and probably MIZZOU in the Big12 champ game..currently, texas, texas tech and Mizzou are in the top 10 should be by the time they play OKLA..

USC's schedule looked harder than what it is and they should obviously be undefeated by ending season.. i feel OKLA's big12 champ game would push them over the edge if they continue to whoop on inferior opponents..

Although I'm biased for USC, my opinion is that if the National Championship game is supposed to have the 2 best teams go at it, and everyone agrees that one of them is USC, the schedule shouldn't matter.  It helps that USC doesn't schedule the likes of the Citadel as well.  Even though that would be a good matchup for Washington St.

well, if a team from the big 12 and a team from the sec finishes undefeated and usc does too, then usc probably wouldnt be one of the best 2 teams in the country any longer. they would not be number one because that would go to the team from the sec. i think we can all agree on that. and if texas or oklahoma finishes undefeated and wins their conference then they would be better than usc in my opinion, hence they would finish number 3.

but lets face it. that wouldnt happen. mainly due to the fact the sec is so strong and going undefeated is nearly impossible. again i think  an sec team with 1 loss should be allowed in the title game as long as they win the SEC championship game. wouldnt happen but it should.

this is why we need a four team playoff....

first off let me start out by saying that i do not believe neone from the sec will get through their schedule.  but i think the sec team would get left out of the game and here's why.  the big 12 champion (okl/missou) will get in if they are both undefeated going into the big 12 championship, that quality win in the last week of the season will play huge in the voters mind.  and usc is, like it or not, america's team.  there is no way they get left out.  rememer auburn a few years ago?????

Oklahoma = little Ohio State
 
Oklahoma had all those scary numbers in past years like 2003 and 2004 and robbed the country of a worthwhile BCS game.  Oklahoma has also embarrassed themselves the last two BCS bowl games.
 
Let OU sit at home where they belong.  I don't care what numbers they get in the stat column.  Seen all those pretty numbers before.
 
Against LSU, 150 TOTAL yards of offense
Against USC, that great defense gave-up something like 56 points.
 
Beat a big team in a big game or a big bowl game that isn't Texas or Missouri and maybe Oklahoma could be considered again.
 
Time to let USC (the PAC-1) an d the SEC have a fun game at the end of the year without the Big-10 or Big-12 getting in the way again.

  birdman, i have to disagree. I dont care if usc played annually in the swac, meac or sun belt. The talent they have is still up there or better than most. Maybe the pac10 has some down teams, but come on do you not see the guys pete carroll recruits there? 4 and 5 stars like 3 deep. Yes they could go through the sec. No im not a usc fan or pac10 fan. Usc just doesnt lose alot of big games over the years.

Osirus i would like to start by saying the woman in your avatar is smoking hot!! Next, please tell me other than Ohio state this year, what big games does USC play other than their bowl game? No one!! I'm not disputing they get good recruits and play well, but the only reason they accomplish either of those two is because they look like a pro team because of their weak conference. Put them in a good conference, Pete Carroll will still get the recruits, aand I'm sure they would still be good, but they won't be great like everyone makes them out to be. 2-3 losses a year in the SEC for the Trojans.

This question can be posed a different way, and your fan masks can come off and reveal the truth.

Let's suppose there are three undefeated teams at the end of the year:
USC
Jokelahoma
UGA or Florida

Poll each school's alumni, fans, players, etc. asking which team they would least want to face for the national title.

Undoubtedly, the answer would be USC. You think UGA/Florida is scared of Oklahoma? A team that has been rocked by SC, Boise, and WVU in recent bowls? Not likely.

Conversely, you think Oklahoma really wants to match up against USC? Not that an undefeated UGA or Florida would be any picnic, but I guarantee you they would rather face either of them than USC. We've seen that before, it was one of the worst championship games ever. At least when tOSU gets blown out they look competitive for the first 6-10 minutes...

have to agree stoops cant coach his team well enough in a big lay off to win a big game. Mizzou may beat them this year tho. And i think Florida and Georgia both are suspect. I mean everyone is on stafford's nuts but i think he's not that great if you watch a UGA game. And while knowsean is a great athlete he only had 98 yards  rushing against asu until the last 2 plays of the game.... i would love to see Mizzou vs the Pete Carolls just to see how that defense stops  them cause i dont see it happening
