January 1 Bowl Games

First of all  - Happy New year All!!!

I have to warn you - despite 9-8 record in College Football, I haven't been doing that well lately losing last two or even more. For me personally - it doesn't matter as I handicap the games as if it was 0-0. Even if I was 22-2 - I'd still handicap them the same. So, if ya didn't know, now you know.

Cincy vs Georgia. 

The Bearcats have something to correct and they will be taking this game very seriously. They are playing in full strength and the team spirit prevails under the one of the best motivating staff in football. No one opts out. No one brags. No one makes declarations. All focus.

The Bulldogs have actually finished their season. For the Bulldogs anything but playing in the CFP Semis is a disappointment and it shows by the way the players are treating this game with 3 star players opting out while two declaring it is for the NFL draft. We already know what that does to the motivation of their teammates with what happened to the Gators. In addition - the minds of the program will be a little offset with personal tragedy the Cook family endured. Compared to that the football gets in different dimension. 

Yes, the Bulldogs are a better team in every aspect you can touch compared to the Bearcats. But, football is a team effort and motivation integrated with the ability. The Bearcats already will know not to fall behind as Georgia is not UCF. 

There are few things thou in favor of Georgia. The team totals for the Bulldogs stand at 32.5 while the Bearcats stand at 20.5. Those are full 12 points we are talking about as a delta. Can we turn in our favor? After all the Bearcats allowed 33 points defensively only once - against the Knights (36-33). And we already said - that won't repeat. More than that - the least the Bearcats scored were 24 points against the Bulls (they feel inferior against Florida teams? - so do the Bulldogs who lost one of the two games to the Gators). 

So, I will take 4 picks in this game.

Northwestern vs Auburn

Here we go again with the team that has actually already packed its bags and is waving a white flag against the team that is eager to run over the opponent. The Wildcats are fifth in the nation defensively allowing only 15 plus points per game and all they have to take care of is the Tigers QB and they will.

Northwestern -4.5

Cincy is good & I ve been riding them in season, but they faced no one. Tulsa is best team on their schedule. 

As results of Cincy schedule, their stats are bit misleading. Are they good, yes! Are they SEC good. No! 

Georgia is play

Georgia has the talent and size that just may shock and awe Cinci today, there's an probability Cinci make take some chances or gadget plays that will get shoved up their keister,  i'd tease Georgia down or play live

Cincy D will play very well today & I am loving my under play even more, as the Total continues to inflate!

Your predictions depends a lot on your options on team/player movation.  That's a lot of guessing on your part and why your probably 9 - 8.  Don't try and get in these kids heads.

I'm not sure we are seeing that total inflating.  It opened at 53.5 according to Vegas Insider.  It's now at 52.5.

I will have a pick for the second game (Clemson - Ohio State). Not enough time for Alabama - Notre Dame. As yourselves - I too was busy watching Cincy vs Georgia. May be at the halftime if I'll find something worth betting.
