One listen to Cecil Newton and you know the guy is shady. Come on, anybody who deals with people on a daily basis can surely see this. If this shit was all a lie, and I am Cam Newton's old man. I am going war to clear my son's name. Just sayin
I think Auburn fans are my new #1 for most retarded and ignorant fan base in America. Thank u god for keeping me far away from the south.

I hope that people will reserve judgment in fairness to the SEC, in fairness to the institutions and most importantly in fairness to the young man." I hope people will exercise thought and patience before making those decisions. I'm concerned about fairness."
Allegations have been made about a player's recruitment to a school where he didn't sign, but no direct accusations have surfaced publicly against the school where the player did sign.
"There's been a lot of things said," he said. "There's been some inconsistencies. There's been some credibility issues.
- Mike Slive, SEC Commissioner on 12 Nov 2010.
Kenny Rogers has contradicted himself like 4xs. He probably was the one that got paid to make this bullshit up. His interview with 103.3 was ridiculous, what a moron. UHHHH welll I cant remember the exact words but it was something like this. What a d.a.

Being a Bama fan, I have pretty much not posted what I know about this situation because I know it would be totally fruitless of me to do so. But I will say that my sources tell me that Cam has been ruled an inelligible player, and that Auburn will announce prior to kickoff that he WILL NOT play tomorrow. What I'm hearing from very reliable sources is that Newton's college career is pretty much done.
I'm not sure this info will help anyone win any money on Georgia because I don't see this game coming back on the board. Nevertheless, I anticipated this earlier in the week and jumped on UGA +8.5.

How does a Bama fan get inside info on an Auburn player? Is this something you got off an alabama message board?
I have seen nothing to indicate that Cam is not playing tomorrow. About 40 minutes ago a player tweeted he thought Cam was going to have a season best game tomorrow. Considering Auburn would run a different offense with the backup QB I am pretty sure the players would know.

I think it is all new news to everyone! It definitely changes everything if it is true! This guy has a lot of respect on covers, do not think he would make it up!

He boarded the bus and accompanied the team to the hotel where he is currently staying. So your telling me that Auburn did not know as late as tonight, but you knew and were confident earlier this week to the point of placing a bet. As I said before, he will play tomorrow, in two weeks against Bama and the SEC Championship. Chizik in not going to sit him. If I am wrong I will come back on this thread tomorrow and tell you so to your face. However, it's not going to happen. Not being rude, just stating a fact...We Will See tomorrow...

By the way...The Cecil Newton news late tonight was already known. His admiting talking about it wil not be all that bad if it goes no further as it won't and Auburn will not suspend Newton Tomorrow for that...

I started a new thread on this topic. There I mentioned Newton boarding the bus to Montgomery. That being said, boarding the bus does not = eligibility. Marcel Dareus and AJ Green both traveled with their respective teams when they were suspended.
The NCAA has advised Auburn not to play CN. If they choose to disregard this advice and play him anyhow, and I don't think they are that stupid, the NCAA will wipe them off the face of the football map for the foreseeable future. If they sit him, they may be able to mitigate the full brunt of what's heading their way.
If I'm wrong, and I'm pretty sure that I'm not, I prefer my crow fried with a dash of chilli powder.

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO REGGIE BUSH and it was 10 times worse. Bush made millions and ruined USC. They took back his Heisman; eliminated the NC win; and all the games he played in; and their entire program is totally screwed for years to come; where have you been the last 3 years.
Nobody took Bush's hesiman he decided to give it back. the heisman committee said they wouldnt take it from him.

Sorry, but I think everything you posted is wrong. The NCAA and the Feds are going after MSU alum and con-man Kenny Rogers. Auburn and Cam will be just fine. Slive has defended AU twice. If they were in trouble that would not have happend. ESPN will and the other irresponsible journalists that have been using MSU boosters as their "source" are going to be the ones that need to eat the most crow.

I almost want to hedge since you said Newton will not play. they have no one behind newton and will probably lose SU if he doesn't....i trust you for some reason...you think 90% he doesn't play?

I have Auburn at -7.5...

You are dead wrong. The SEC Commish "Slime" may be covering his on ass by hanging Miss. St out to dry, but the NCAA and the FBI are definably gonna get to the truth. While Auburn may or may not have offered Cecil money, they now know that Cecil did ask Miss St for money so that makes Cam ineligible. So if Auburn plays him again then they WILL face NCAA sanctions down the road. So I wish all you Auburn fans would get your head out of your asses and see what's really going on here.

As I said in my post, I have 4 very good sources and all are saying essentially the same thing. In sum they are saying a) that the NCAA has advised Auburn not to play CN b) that CN did board the team bus to Montgomery, and c) that there is a slight chance Auburn may disregard the NCAA's advice and play him anyhow. Three of the four don't think Auburn will risk it.
I am very confident in my sources. If I weren't, I would not have posted the info. Evidently the Covers mods weren't impressed however.
If I were in your shoes, I would buy out of the bet.
