Enjoy your time with the football program before the NCAA hammer comes down, WCT. Even a biased Trojan like you has to acknowledge that Garrett is giving the NCAA the finger by hiring a known cheater to come to a program already under massive investigations for unethical behavior.

Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if the "Trojan faithful" (who, strangely enough, only started caring about USC football when they started winning) turn a blind eye on ethical issues.

very odd for them to hire a guy who always crosses the line, agreed. But that tells me they are not worried about the sanctions. Maybe they know whats in store? You do know programs like Bama and Oklahoma are currently on probation, right? Thats not killing them.

Sanctions are overrated now. Unless you get the death penalty, it real;y isnt that bad.

Bring up the "only started caring about football when they started winning" act up. You're hatred is blinding you. Why dont we hear from Bruins? Because you guys dont play football. Win somethign and you guys will come out of nowhere. Its how it should be. Keep your mouth shut when you have nothing to talk about, basically.

    Go Bruins.

**–You have to wonder what Kiffin is thinking because, based on everything I’ve heard, USC is going to get hammered by the NCAA. I just hope he didn’t leave an NCAA mess at Tennessee that others will have to clean up. - Tony Barnhardt in today's AJC.

Trojan you really are delusional to think that USC isn't going to the NCAA's Penalty Box.I for one will get a great deal of satisfaction and enjoyment when they make the official announcement with all of the sordid details of just how corrupt that program has been.

Oh,and UCLA will win a PAC10 championship before USC will.

    LOL.

Ucla will win a pac-10 championship before USC will. Ok. You're right.

I just dont think the penaty is going to be that severe. You tell me how corrupt the university is? Tell me. Can you definitely point to where USC was definitely involved in the Bush matter, McKnight matter, Mayo matter?

I think Floyd went rogue with his decision to give Mayo money. He needed this to keep his job and get a better one down the road. You think the university was involved with giving a measily $1000 here and there? Thats silly.

Bush? Could they have policed his family better? Maybe. i dont know what goes on with behind the scenes policing of FAMILIES. Bush wasnt living in a fat crib in Beverly Hills. His parents got gifts. I just dont know how USC is suppose to prevent that. That kind of stuff is going to happen.

McKnight? They should have known better about a player driving a $25k car? Really? Thats racial profiling at its best. You think people would be alarmed if Barkley was driving a $40k when his parents are wealthy? This McKnight thing is ridiculous. Bad decision by him.

I asknowledge they cheat. I've started threads saying everyone cheats. I made jokes they paid McKnight $250k to sign him. You guys act like Mike Garrett was paying people. Did he? Maybe.

Gladly -- take a look at this link, which compiles all the issues that USC's program has had over Pete Carroll's tenure:
All of the problems at USC in one place

Also, do we need to re-hash all of the trouble that Kiffin is in? The NCAA is looking at him big time as well.

Kiffin, for some reason, views this as a compliment?!

    Don't poke the sleeping bear.

Gladly -- take a look at this link, which compiles all the issues that USC's program has had over Pete Carroll's tenure:

All of the problems at USC in one place

LOL. this coming from a Bruin site. I stopped reading once I saw Fargas inviting OJ to something. 90% of this stuff is nonsense.

    Nice try though.

what facts are you putting out there? Facts that mean much. What does it matter that Fargas invited Oj to something. You lose credibilty when you have that in an article.

I'll glady come back and read the entire article and discuss it with you. Guys being arrested for guns? That wont be discussed. It happens everywhere, although its not right.

I'll be back in a few hours when I can make the time. We'll revisit this. Until then, keep worrying about USC and not about UCLA's own problems.

There must have been a lot of Tenn fans who were laughing at USC for losing Pete Carroll.  I wonder if they are laughing now?

I am not a UT fan by any means but trust me most UT fans are rejoicing... Kiffin was on his last string just after one year in the SEC.. The SEC was going to suspend him from coaching in games if he got in trouble one more time.. He had numerious secondary violations and got repremanded by the SEC for his dumb as comments to the public.. I think UT is glad to get rid of him, you act like USC hit the jackpot with this hire...

Yes we are! But we're not the only ones,as apparently the whole country is gettin' a good laugh at USC's expense.

At some point Tuesday night, a clown car pulled up to Heritage Hall. Out jumped the guy in the bright maroon tie and clueless look on his face.

    Balloon animals, kiddies?

    Smelling salts, USC?

Bozo the AD -- Mike Garrett is his stage name -- rode one of those tiny tricycles up to the door of USC's hallowed athletic headquarters, paused, cleared his throat and tried to tell a joke.

    Tried.

The punch line came out as, "Lane Kiffin has been hired as the 22nd coach in USC history to replace Pete Carroll ..." We laughed out of shock, frustration and incredulity.

Mike Freakin' Garrett hired Lane Freakin' Kiffin? One is a recluse. The other tried to wreck Urban Meyer. One fiddled while O.J. Mayo earned -- about $20,000 in improper benefits by one estimate. The other led with his mouth.
