Bellotti not coaching this game makes Oregon a crap shoot...yes they are one of the best teams in Pac which means they have the skill player advantage over Boise plus Revenge; 2 huge factors...but cant go with a first game coach versus a huge intangible of a team feeling it cannot lose at home. If Boise front 7 can impose some will, they should win...but I am not laying 5...I will look elsewhere thursday night....

I have them pegged as one of the worst teams in the Pac-10...this should be interesting.

If there are 50 games a week that means 40 teams will cover the spread and win. Roughly half of those teams should be dogs. If this were true Las Vegas would of been out of business a long time ago. Especially in College Football were 41 point underdogs win outright(Stanford over USC) 1-aa teams beating 1a (App State over Michigan) Vegas wins when favorites don't cover and dogs win outright.

 

You ever notice the stories people tell of there worst gambling losses when a big favorite was playing a an injury depleted team that has no chance and 80% of the money was on the favorite. But somehow the favorite totally laided down and the QB had 7 turnovers for the first time ever and 3 were returned for TD's.

Look it up anywhere you want to. The winner of the game(dog or favorite) wins 80% of all games where the spread is within 10 points.

How about we use this thread to keep track for the season. We'll keep a separate tab for games that were double digits.

thur sep 3
5 lined games
The winner also covered in 4 out of 5 games(80%)
In non double digit games the winner also covered in 3 out of 3 games(100%).

I'll try to keep this going all season.

i know its after the fact but anyone who said they had this game capped even and took the ducks on the ML is clueless, most people give boise 6 pts for home field advantage and you need to realize the fact their home wins come from the likes of idaho state and other scrubs are because with the exception of oregon no other big name bcs conference schools are going to travel to boise to play them on the smurf turf
