How about Texas A&M keeping it tight against SC?    There you go.  Won't play them, but if I did, I would take the Aggies...They will have more pure talent on that field.   Its just young...Everyone is expecting the Aggies D to look like it did against Duke, with no Manziel to save them...  I think that D that shreaded last season will play a lot better.  And if their elite playmakers on O who are only freshman and sophomores are the real deal, they could surprise some people (ie WR's RSJ and Speedy Noil).    I don't believe the Aggies will win this game, but I think the Cock backers (and hopefully not Suckers, a little sexual pun there) will be sweating a bit in the 4th quarter...

 I think I'm in the same boat as you, as I took So Car ML in a parlay. I think you are correct that the Aggies will surprise, but I think the SC defense will surprise as well without Clowney. Ultimately, the Manziel/Evans combo is simply too much to replace, especially week 1 on the road vs a pretty solid squad.

Football - 139 Mississippi -10 (2)
Strengths  Miss 15 returning starters, QB, systems, motivation, legit SEC WEST title contender;  significant talent advantage; fast; top ranked D; all spring and summer to prep for Boise

Weaknesses   new systems by boise; hard to prep for

Opportunities  - talent delta; depth

Threats – Boise Mystique

Football - 147 Bowling Green -8 (10)

Strengths – new coach Dino Babers; returning QB; coach history with QBs;  good talent for MAC; good road team ATS; return top  RBS

Weaknesses – playing at WKU; lose top 3 WRs

Opportunities sig advantage at QB; lots of key; WKU also replacing coach

Threats new coach;new systems

Football - 152 Houston U -11(4)

Strengths – talent advantage; legacy systems; opening new Robertson; speed, WR skills, experienced blue chip QB

Weaknesses – only led UTSA by 3 late in 3^rd  last season; benefitted from turnovers

Opportunities Houston now has UTSA one and only QB on its staff as a paid grad assistant;  should help with intel

Threats – overconfidence; coker is a good coach

Football - 168 NC State -22.5 (9)

Strengths   Star Fla tr J Brissett; leader of team; great arm and skills; 2^nd year coach; Ga Southern has first year coach who will migrate them from 100% triple option too a hybrid run/pass

Weaknesses – only -8 ATS last season

Opportunities – get Ga Southern at home; after last season, NC State is hungry

Threats – Ga Southern returns a lot of starters that beat Fla at the Swamp;  but at the end of last season  I think Fla threw in the towel and did not give 100%.

Football - 170 Nebraska -23 (5)

Strengths -  talent delta, playing for the kid with cancer Jack; some motivation for defating team that canned their former DC Carl Pellini for supposed drug use; Abdulla, the freak will run all over a weak FAU run D.

Weaknesses – injuries at starting LB and in the secondary

Opportunities –  Bo Pellini a bit on the hot seat; rough around the edges and no Championships; unlike Wyoming last season, I think Neb will come out focused, and open a can of whoop behind on an inferior FAU team;   I also think the Neb D will be much better this season than last

Threats

Football - 177 Alabama -25.5 (11)

Strengths – talent; 5 star talent all over the field; coached by the best HC and assistants in college football; coming off two straight losses; pissed off, hungry, talented; against an overmatched and still rebuilding WVU team; freakish RBs in Yeldon and Henry; another elite Bama O Line

Weaknesses QB selection – both will play; may lead to some inconsistency

Opportunities – will want to make a statement that Bama is back

Threats – that the O will be vanilla, that this will be a another lackluster performance like they in the opening week last season against Va Tech

Football - 192 USC -21(7)

Strengths – elite Bama caliber  4 and 5 star talent at every starting position; Carr and top 2 elite WR’s gone the NFL;  replaced by Duke transfer; will take Fresno QB time to gel with WR’s; USC pass rush will be unrelenting

Weaknesses – new coaches, new systems, distracted by the shaw fiasco; after starters they have significant drop off in talent; depth

Opportunities – beat Fresno by 25 last season as a 6 pt favorite;  dominated the game

Threats – distraction from Shaw issue

Football - 195 Washington U -15 (8)

Strengths – superior coaching, superior O Line and D Line

Weaknesses plaining on the islands; vacation or business trip; lose top QB, NFL RB and TE

Opportunities – kick off of Peterson regime, statement game

Threats – again, if they don’t take the Warrior seriously, it could be a battle; however knowing peterson’s record  ATS on islands while at Boise, this will business trip…

Football - 197 Florida State -17.5 (1)

Strengths – dominating talent advantage, superior coaches, still hungry

Weaknesses –  none

Opportunities  chance to show world last year not fluke

Threats complacency; taking a top 30 Ok St team lightly

Football - 200 Texas -2 (6)

Strengths home field, superior talent, new coach with strong; new hungry staff; hungry team especially the D

Weaknesses – suspensions impact;

Opportunities chance to show Red McCombs and other Texas cigars that he is legit

Threats vanilla O; potential backdoor cover, if Strong calls off the dogs

Football - 203 LSU -4.5 (12)

Strengths – talent advantage, speed, athleticism, better coordinators in Chevis and Cameron; Fournette; Wisc lack of passing game; can stack the box; will wear down Wisc inexperienced D which returns only 3 on D;  LSU O Line one of the best in the SEC and just as good as Wisc

Weaknesses – young QB

Opportunities playing in Houston, quasi home field, chance to impress recruits in Houston a big hotbed for them

Threats – Wisc maturity on O Line, RB Gordon

Football - 208 Baylor -32.5 (3)

Strengths – Petty a Heisman Candidate, elite WR’s good RB’s good OLine; good D line,  LB Bryce Hager returns; Briles likes to run up the score

Weaknesses – secondary, but Bennett will adjust with Nickel package, have had all fall camp to prep;

Opportunities Opening new McClain Family Stadium, the place will be rocking

Threats – June Jones has had all spring , summer and fall to prep for Baylor, he may have something up his sleeve that his Ponies can deliver and at least make it a respectable game
