Yep its week 3 and I'm calling my BET OF THE YEAR..

Been waiting for this one ALL YEAR and was expecting a line between -6 and -8 before the season started.

Now that I've seen these 2 teams in action I am IN SHOCK LSU is ONLY -3.

I could get into it for many reasons but its much easier to just say "trust me I know my team and this bet is easy $"..

Sorry bro, the Bulldogs are the real deal and they're going to be catching LSU coming in soft. 

Miss St. +3 is good but I'll let Joe Public push this line to 3.5. Let's sprinkle a little cash on the moneyline while we're at it.

I like your Saints -7 this week though....a lot!

I feel like just watching this game, without betting on it ahahaha....it will be a hardfight type of game.....probably around those 3 points!! But yeah, im leaning towards LSU -3.....GL to u guys!!

Isn't there some ridiculous trend regarding dogs covering Thursday Night Football?  Or have oddsmakers finally adjusted to that?

Take the points.  First home game for the dogs.  The will be the most important game of the year for the MSU, while its just another game for LSU, especially with WVU next week.  Not saying State is going to win, but I think this one goes down to the wire, just like 2 years ago in starkville.

oh yeah and it's always nice to have the home dog on thursday night on your side as well.

I agree, just have no idea what the LSU offense will do, good defense though!  I almost never load up on a road favorite to begin with.  Lee has trouble throwing the ball downfield and that power running game may vanish against a strong SEC defense? Does MSU have a strong D is my question?

Does Mettenberger have any shot at playing this weekend for LSU?  I spoke to my LSU buddy this morning and he said he looked really good in the 2nd half albeit against NWState.  I personally think he is the better qb.

Lee can always throw a pick 6 at any moment.

Finally did some googling on this.  Yup, home dogs cover ESPN's TNF 66% of the time over the last 5 years (22-11).  I'm sure if you looked beyond the last 5 years, there'd be a similar result.

Maybe LSU bucks the trend, but that's a pretty scary trend to bet against.

idk how this line is low, MSU cant even beat an average SEC team like Auburn! what makes them think they can even put up a fight against that LSU defense. Someone give me a reason Not to take them tomorrow night

They cant except basing it off of stats like "thursday night dog' and b.s. like that. THOSE B.S. STATS HAVE NOTHING TO TO WITH THE TALENT THIS DEFENSE HAS AND THE HORRENDOUS TIME MSU WILL HAVE RUNNING, THEIR STRENGTH, AT THE LSU DEFENSE. THIS ONE COULD GET UGLY I CANT WAIT!!

The fact that you don't know anything about the backup qb (who happens to much more talented and played the entire 2nd half last game) tells me you know nothing about LSU and no one should listen to you.

Home team is 47-27 ATS on Thursday night
25-16 (.610) as a favorite
22-11 (.667) as a dog

Of the 22 covers by the home dogs 18 were outright wins.Includes outright wins as 9.5,9.5,10.5,and 24 point dogs.

For those of you who don't think MSU can run the football against LSU... MSU has rushed for 150 yds the past 2 years... would've been more LY if Relf hadn't taken a shot to the head and had to come out of the game... 

State can and will run the ball... Oregon is not a physical football team... they are built on speed... MSU doesn't have as much speed, but they are a lot bigger and more physical than Oregon... 


All that being said... I'm not saying MSU wins... but it's gonna be one hell of a game and I'll be there drinking whiskey
