Can anybody give me a LEGITIMATE reason LSU doesn't win tomorrow nights game. A reason OTHER than situational b.s. like Thursday night dogs and shit like that.
.A VALID reason that is NOT SITUATIONAL?
who knows ....
you are talking about 17-22 year old children '
anything can happen
Maybe they choke
Maybe the QB sucks
Maybe Les Miles is forced to think
Maybe Mississippi St is the better team
BEST OF HEALTH, HAPPINESS,WEALTH, BLESSINGS and LUCK TO ALL !!

Miss State is nowhere near the team LSU is this year, that is just a fact. They have been that way for a long time, I will never forget how bad we got our ass handed to us as a Freshmen at State down in Baton Rouge.. It was bad enough I almost got to play as a true RS Freshmen lol..

Hardly the bet of the year, not even close, but I really like LSU to cover this line. Like most, I expected it to be closer to a 6-8 point spread. I appreciate the difficulty of winning night games on the road, and would have been more reluctant to bet LSU heavy until I saw how weak Miss St. looked against an inexperienced Auburn team.
LSU may have their best defense since the 2003 team. I think they will shut the MSU offense down, enjoy good field position all night, and wear the Miss St. defense down. I still have some question about Lee at QB but he is good enough to win this one. Mettenberg may end up as starter before the year is out. Look for LSU to cover the line. They will not be tested until Bama and Arky.
LSU 4X play Thursday night weirdness will not effect this game.

THERE IT IS COMING FROM A FORMER STATE PLAYER HIMSELF...THE TIGERS ARE OUT FOR BLOOD..Not to mention the fact that state had a grueling battle against Auburn and a few starters are hurt/questionable while LSU was able to rest their starters most of the 2nd half in preparation for this game..

So basically your going to disregard anyone saying anything again a LSU? That doesnt make alot of sense considering we are all here for the common purpose of winning money. All your doing is trying to convince yourself to be more confident in your LSU play.

Based on my response, I can see why you would say that....but those were intangibles that are so general that could be said about any college football game..I'm just trying to see if somebody knows something I dont OR has a legitimate reason STATE beats LSU

I can't believe these LSU fans think this game is a no brainer ... LSU's offense will be about as plain as your granny's homemade snow cream... Way too hyped about beating an Oregon team who could not beat you with their speed, and who made too many mistakes.. Miss State much bigger and physical, than Oregon, and will be much tougher test... I see this game being a low scoring, battle of field position, with the winner being the one who makes the least mistakes... and certainly no Sunday picnic for either team... Best of luck to you all, and looking forward to a good Thursday night game

Thats the way we like it....Why fuck up the game with offensive mistakes when your defense when your defense wont give up 20 points? All we need is 21 points to win this game. And most for that matter...

God I love all of the homers in the College football forum. Listen, we get it. Your team is awesome and can't be stopped. No way the Mississippi State Bulldogs can cover a 3.5 Point spread at home on a Thursday night on ESPN. Blah, Blah, Blah. What is the point of even starting this thread? If you were a Michigan State fan, would you even bet this game? It's obvious the only reason you're betting LSU is because you're a ridiculous LSU homer. Good luck on your bet, even though I think it's bad for the wallet to bet on the team when you have no objectivity towards them.

You are right on the mark,,,, anybody who follows SEC football knows two things. Les Miles (LSU) is a very good team but usually plays very close games and somehow always wins, (more power to LSU) and secondly, Dan Mullen (MSU) is the real deal.
Miss St came within a 4thdown . 1/2 yrd eyelash of beating national Champs Auburn last year, beat Florida, beat Georgia, played into OT with Arky, and then dismantled michigan.
This will be a great game. I havent decided who to play but I will probably go with Miss St. But I confident that this is not a snap win for LSU. and just because LSU beat Oregon doesnt really mean much.

I am not a fan of either of these teams, in fact I hate Les Miles. I have watched LSU, and being an Auburn Graduate, I have watched Miss St. Auburn got very lucky last week, against a good Miss St team playing on the road. Miss St. got behind early, and still made it look easy coming back, but they couldn't cash it in when they needed to. By the way, Utah St.'s O line dominated AU's D line more than Miss St's did, So if LSU's D line plays like they are capable of playing, Miss St is going to have a long night. The deciding factor in this game will be what LSU does when they have the ball, If LSU doesn't turn the ball over, or give up any special teams big plays, they should be able to manage the tempo, and keep their defense rested. But if LSU offense turns the ball over, and LSU Defense gets tired, Miss St will run the ball on them, and will succeed. I don't see LSU turning it over, and I see LSU winning this one 28-13

LSU owns MISS ST ! 22 - 3 in da last 25 meetings and 17 - 8 against da spread . You guys are making this game harder then it really is . LSU ROLLS !
This is the worst comment in this thread. I would rather here from LSU or MSU homers as to why their team will win and cover than have someone throw out a trend that dates back 25 years.
Does the 1992 game really have that much of an impact on tonight's game? Or even the 2002 game? Are those players suiting up tonight? Are those coaches game planning tonight?

The way LSU whipped Oregon in the opener without their suspended players was very impressive to me. MSU lost a tough opener. I think I will go with LSU here. I already got burned on a Monday nighter with Miami +4 in the last minute pick-six, so I hope nothing like that happens again.

For those of you who don't think MSU can run the football against LSU... MSU has rushed for 150 yds the past 2 years... would've been more LY if Relf hadn't taken a shot to the head and had to come out of the game...
State can and will run the ball... Oregon is not a physical football team... they are built on speed... MSU doesn't have as much speed, but they are a lot bigger and more physical than Oregon...
All that being said... I'm not saying MSU wins... but it's gonna be one hell of a game and I'll be there drinking whiskey
I hated everything you just said, but then you said Whiskey...
