One thing you absolutely cannot do is compare one year to another year.
If the teams are completely different i might agree with you, but the teams are basically the same caliber talent...still wouldnt touch it...i have enough rules to not look at last years results...for revenge, or how they match up!!! Especially with similar Rosters!!!

Lol... all these guys are posting actual genuine opinions, that are not even bashing you.. relax...
Only reason Im posting is because with 10 points, I agree, ND should keep it close ish. I just dont see where ND puts up points...
And NO, you DO NOT run the ball against Alabama. Ony 2 guys to figure this out have been Aaron Murray and Manziel. There is suspect secondary for Alabama, and thats the only way to win...I dont see Everett Golson exposing this, but at the same time I dont see Alabama's rushing attack running for 350 yards again. 24-17 Bama, these teams are gonna try winning it the trenches and ND will come up short doing this. It comes down to ND and how many points they can hold Alabama too...and I think if they keep their possession time high enough, Alabama gets a max of 24. I am skeptical on how much ND puts up, but like I said 24-17 seems like a good call.
The way I would respond to that is how is Alabama going to score? ND is the number one scoring defense in the country. Look you don't give up JUST 13 pts to OU AT OU, Stanford, and USC AT USC and not have a GREAT DEFENSE. ND also is the best running team Bama will face all year long. Georgia's biggest mistake was not running the ball more. If Georgia converts that 3rd down and 1 with 5 min remaining the game is over. Alabama offense is not that difficult to figure out. They rush the ball to setup the play action pass where they look to hit the deep ball. McCarron is an average qb when it comes to making short throws because he lacks the arm strength. Is Mettenburger better than Gholston?? Brian Kelly is an extremely good coach and I expect a bigger mixture of Rees in this game to attack Bama's secondary which has shown it can be passed on. ND doesn't have to score much to cover 10 pts. Bams does not have some jugguraut offense. Like I have been saying the perception of Bama is that this team is like the 2011 team and its not especially on defense. Bama's secondary is not nearly as good and Bama doesnt have anyone on their front 4 that realy gets after the qb. Kirby Smart relies on blitzes and his LB's to get to the qb where last year they could get there with just their front 4. Remember I like ND to COVER the game. For them to win the game they have to stick to their running game to shorten the game and stop the running game enough to make McCarron pass the ball which favors ND.

A&M-QB Tannehill to Johnny football, and Head coach Sumlin...Heisman may be a distraction??
OU- No Ryan Broyles...Added Justin Brown, Mike Stoops
Capper obviously you have your opinion and that's great. I just think there are so many things you are not taking into consideration that are blantantly obvious. First off that game was at Oklahoma where OU before this year had only lost 3 games at home in 12 years. Also if you think that coaching is not a HUGE part of college football you are sorely mistaken. Texas A&M was 7-6 last year and 4-5 in conference and just went 10-2 in the SEC with 2 losses by a combined 8 pts against FL and LSU. Manziel and Tannehill are absolute opposite qb's. Three huge parts of the game which is where the game will be played in the Cotton Bowl not at OU, Sumlin as the coach and Manziel who just put up the best freshman season in the history of college football against the toughest schedule in the SEC. Everyone knows who is going to win the Heisman and by the way the only one Heisman winner in the last 5 Heisman trophy winners has lost their bowl game and that was Bradford versus Tebow where Tebow and Harvin were able to run all over a stout OU defense. Also comparing Broyles the number one receiver in college football history to Justin Brown is a stretch and even with Mike Stoops back OU has proven that they just dont have the talent in the front seven to give A&M a lot of problems. OU like Bama don't have a guy in that front 4 that really can go out and dominate games while A&M has D Moore is a beast.
Gl on your pick. OU has the coaching and a qb to make the upset I just don't see that happening.

I'm not a fan of either of these teams, but can't wait to watch this game.
Personally, I believe ND covers and has a slight chance to win outright.
One thing that I think needs to be pointed out is that Saban gets a little too much credit. He hasn't exactly won a bunch of big games. I think the time to prepare helps him, but it's not like that's going to be the difference.
Good luck to all on this one.
Nice Post N Gamer, I'm with you on all three.

1. Johnynumbers, love your Av. Big Bill best D player ever!
2. ND plays cupcake schedule, that why they are not in a conf. And don't tell me its cuz there ND and its $, SEC Big ten big big $$.
3. ND defense #1 in the country? REread #2. Against who???
4. When Bama's lines fires out, they'll wonder where the hits are.
5. Kelly ok coach, good recruiter but Saban with a month prep time look out ND. They may get 10 if lucky and game could get out of hand late in 3rd or early in 4th when ND is getting beaten up.
6. Not crazy about QB for Bama but he wins, barely.
7. ND will NOT stop Bama rushing attack and Saban knows it! They will run at ND and probably not have to throw often so QB not a factor. Ball control will be Alabama's and ND offense will sit and watch their #1 D get pushed back all game long.
8. Alabama 27 ND 10. I will give a late TD to ND. and
9. I am a gamecock fan and hate Bama, but fact is fact, you'll see!

WHAT BIAS?? I have made money on Bama both ways all year. I have said that they are a top 3 team. Homers call you bias because you bet against their team. I played agaist Bama against LSU, A&M and Georgia because it was the right play and those are the only good teams Bama faced. I am making my standard play on any team just like I have in the past.

When I started this thread it wasn't ND wins outright Game of the Year on ND to destroy Bama. I like ND to cover the spread which is 10 points I am not betting on this game any more than I do with any of my bets other than my GOW. I have already pointed what ND has to do to win the game. They certainly have the defense, the coach and the type of offense to win this game without a doubt. Perception of Bama and ND is what I have on my side when it comes to this game. If people really think Bama's defense is NEARLY as good than last year go look at last year schedule and then look at the 3 good teams Bama has faced and tell me you are serious. This defense can be ran on can be passed and three teams have already shown that and one month wont change anything. Last year Bama had a downright filthy defense where they gave up NOTHING. This year in 2 games against LSU and AM they gave up 21-38 on third downs and could not get off the field. Georgia ran and pass on them all game. People can continue to post the same thing especially about Saban and a month to prepare but last year his defense was already one of the best in college football history not because of Saban because of talent. He also played a team that tried to execute the same exact gameplan from the previous game which was absolute suicide. It's why Les lose by Miles kills his team. Anyone that watched the LSU/Bama game this year knows that LSU gave the game away about 4 times. I actually felt sorry for the LSU players because their own coach lost the game not the team. By far and away the only time I have really seen that happen.

This game should absolutely sky over the total. Both times average 35 pts per game while Ball State is 91st in the country giving up 31 pts per game. CF struggles against slightly above average defensive teams like Tulsa. I was on Tulsa both times against CF. However they were still able to score and Ball State is a BELOW AVERAGE defense. CF defense is 24th in the country but not as good as advertised as the Tulsa offense which is pretty pedestrian was able to really move the ball against them. This looks like a shootout.
Adding San Jose State -6.5 bought it down 1/2 pt.
Will post my analysis later.

Regarding nd and their great defensive efforts against OU, stan and usc. OU's o line strugglee all yr, stan had nunes qbing and usc was starting ? I already forgot his name. Bama and their solid o line is going to put up points against nd.

This will be the game where their secondary gets exposed
I agree although Bama's secondary has already been exposed in 3 games. This game will be very close but ND is the BEST OVERALL TEAM that Bama has faced all year when you factor in coaching, run offense, run defense, secondary and every other intangible. Anyone that watched the LSU/Bama game knows that Les Miles single handily lost that game. How does Bama win the game when they covert only 1 3rd down, only hold the ball 20 minutes, give up over 400 yards while getting stuffed basically the entire game and never being able to get off the field on 3rd down. Texas A&M blew them off the field and Georgia we all know was a spike and one throw from winning that game after still giving up 350 yards rushing. ND is not going to let Bama run the ball. Alabama offense runs the ball trying to setup the play action pass to throw the ball deep. One statistic which is very revealing is ND is the number one team in the country in NOT giving up the big play. Meaning they make the team drive the field. Alabama likes to throw the ball deep and ND is number one in the country at stopping not only deep thrown but big running plays. One thing that ND does have problems with is in field position which is by far their biggest weakness. I have said I like ND to cover the spread. I think they have all the tools to win the game. The spread is 10 because people think that this defense is close to as good as it was last year and the numbers just dont prove that out and neither does their play on the field. Go back and look at last years box scores and then tell me that Bama's defense is EVEN CLOSE to what it was. ND has the better defense and their offense is extremely underrated. They are the 6th best offense when you compare how they are able to run and pass the ball. Bama has to gameplan against not only Gholston but also Rees who will make some plays in this game. ND is not just Teo on defense. Truitt is the guy that reaks havoc in the backfield.

Who is going to call plays for A&M? Losing such and great OC/ play caller will affect this game. There is no way I would play A&M in this one. I'll probably stay away but if I was to play it I would take OU and the points. Every spread team A&M has played has played them close and OU is better that any of those teams.

As far as who is going to call plays probably Sumlin or the qb coach. Remember this is SUMLINS OFFENSE he knows its better than ANYONE. Now does losing KK hurt yes but they still have the most explosive offense in the country next to Oregon and zero injuries.; Also WTF are you talking about as far as Texas A&M being played by spread teams. Ole Miss is an above average team, the game was on the road and A&M had 6 turnovers. The six turnovers had more to do with it than anything and they still only gave up 27. Also please dont even mention the La Tech game. I watched that game and A&M was NEVER and I mean NEVER going to lose that game. They got up big and then let them back in but A&M could have put 100 on them. FL doesnt play a spread offense and neither does LSU. A&M could have easily won either of those games and if you watched them you would know the same thing. Plus LSU and Fl are so much better on defense than OU its not even close. OU gave up huge points all year long. I have posted why I like A&M as my GOW. Its not for just one reason. I think OU is an extremely good team but their defense especially in the front 4 are not good enough to stop A&M enough on offense while A&M has the players like D Moore who will cause OU enough problems as far as scoring consistently. I think this will be a high scoring game and I always go with the team with the better defense. Also A&M has 3 players on their Oline that are FOR SURE NFL players. 2 could go in the first round.

Seriously I don't really even know how to respond to something so funny. Its homer bias and statements like this that make homers look like complete jokes. Last I heard USC was ranked number 1 and they finished 7-5. . Miss State preyed on HORRIBLE TEAMS than finally faced some decent ones and got destroyed and lets not even talk about Arkansas. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Michigan is at least half way decent. Your arguements are so bad its comical. Being ranked at the first or the middle of the year MEANS NOTHING. Its why they have whats called a STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE. They factor in wins and losses the entire year against good and bad teams not RANKINGS. When Bama lost to A&M did you crap your pants? Get a life man.

Like I said Sumlin is a very good coach. He has been around explosive offenses for years. Kingbury is a good OC but its the entire Texas A&M team is what I am betting on not just the offense. Regardless of who calls the plays what you can't gameplan for is Manziel and how is able to improvise when a play breaks down which the OC has no control over. Those are the plays that beakdown defenses. Ask Alabama. I think Mike Stoops will have a great gameplan but OU just doesn't have the talent from top to bottom on defense like an LSU or Florida to stop A&M. I think it will be a great game.

Like I said Sumlin is a very good coach. He has been around explosive offenses for years. Kingbury is a good OC but its the entire Texas A&M team is what I am betting on not just the offense. Train stop stalking me or you will get boxed. If you need a couple of winners check out the NBA forum. Were you laughing when I was 4-0 last week with Georgia?

Which is it a "BLOWOUT" or a "great game"? I agree with pretty much everything your saying here. I think it will be a great game. So great that I wouldn't put much money on it and if I was I would take the points.
I really don't understand you point with they had 6 turn overs in the ol miss game... What makes you think they won't turn the ball over against OU? Was it that great ol miss D that caused those? Is the ol miss D better than OUs? Didn't Texas put up like 60 on them?
