Nropp, one thing scares me about the Illinios over, is the fact that Illinois likes to run the ball. This will really keep the clock running, and with a lead they will take there time getting plays into the offense???

TYSTER...I bet much more conservatively with my money than I do with units...this is the ONLY person I willl let influence my money bets. And for the record...I'm up a hefty sum of money this year. AND it just so happens, that I keep track of winnings thanks to nropp:
Bets from nropp 16-7...which makes just over 18k...so until you post something worth reading...GET THE HELL OUT

Nropp,
Maryland doesn't throw very much. 20 times a game at most. They have a ton of trouble scoring points but their defense is built to stop the run.

On a whole, the MAC is down this year. You could realistically make an argument that no team is 4 points better than any team regardless of offensive statistics, b/c just about every defense has blown goats. Temple, yes, Temple, actually has been the most consistent defense in league play. As for this Toledo/NIU game, I really didn’t want to play it, but how can I pass this up with NIU on the road, guaranteed to have their first losing season in years, no bowl game, while Toledo has an outside shot at a bowl game, so they are playing with some motivation. Year after year, these two teams usually find themselves playing this game for a title, which isn’t the case here. It is a bad value play, but I can’t pass it up. As for the Ohio/Bowling Green game (which is lined at an amazingly high number of –7/+7 for a MAC game), I just don’t understand Ohio. If they give me this line at the beginning of the year, I take it in a heartbeat and make it a 5*. They have the talent to be the best defense in the MAC, but they haven’t shown it. They have given up almost it seems, and if this defense doesn’t show up yet again for week #5 in a row, Bowling Green will pass, pass, pass all over them, and they won’t let up. Just about every team in the MAC has been able to run the ball successfully in conference play, except for one team, Bowling Green. And that is b/c of their passing efficiency on offense.
That should be it, barring anything I see while I look over everything late tonight…Just don’t see a ton of value in too much this week. Actually like a little NFL, which is scary.

Nee a winner look at South Florida 230 cent. All handicappers miss a few! But hers some jaw dropping statson SthFLA / Uconn, a pumped team that got the loss off shoulders and is ready to jump back in with both feet, and a beat up team from last week, with atough win.
Jeff Sagerin's Comp. Power Ranks
I went 4-0 last night with BC Un, and AF won for me alo with game and oversbutb they needed the dog points, but it was a win. Anyone want to share ?
South Florida Deserves No. 5 !
Cputr Pwr rank strength Rcrd SS Rank schedule
# 5 South Florida A = 91.16 6 1 76.02 ( 8)
# 16 Connecticut A = 82.44 6 1 64.95 ( 93)
Even when you add 2.08 to the home team si not in SFLA 's class. And the intangibles lean to SFLA! Take SF tonight and win (in my humble opinion. South Florida played a good game last week against a good team but a team that is not as good as they are. Considered to some, (Rutgers) are "Giant Killers". Burt when the smoke clears they will be there. Ohio St at #1 with that weak schedule is a joke .Lsu ans Auburn and Florida are better than OSU anyway Bulls will rebound this week after in reality getting that monkey of no loss off their back and Yes Uconn had a good game last week on PRIMETIME, but Grothe has went bowhunting and will lead the Bulls to a covers win tonight. I agree with Sagerin about these teams. Have any questions lets talk! Imean they lost one game! Their corners are some of est. They have faced better than UCONNS run game! Peace and God Bless!

You really think teams bounce back that easy? LSU loses to Kentucky, comes back as a big favorite at home against Auburn, and barely shows up. Or Cal, legitimate title contender gets beat at home by Oregon State, only to go on the road as a short favorite, and come up short to LSU last week. Cincy had a decent shot to win the big east, then Louisville beat them, then they try to rebound against Pitt, on the road, as chalk, and lose outright.
That's all I see everywhere. This team is going to bounce back, they will bounce back, they should be a title contender even with one loss. Well, these kids are human. In college football, you play to be undefeated, and if you aren't, it sure is going to hurt, and it's proven to be extremely hard to bounce back. That trend was 3-0 last week, think it's around 59-23 ATS to fade the title contender after a loss.
You could make an argument for USF here, but it's just not one of the smarter plays on board.
